He's not ready yet for the move. Give it time, he'll be amazing if he avoids injuries and will pull a Cesc.

i agree. i would imagine that if the club wants him, he would eventually transfer over.

And something to look at is how much Iniesta has struggled to adapt to the recent changes.

absolutely. there was more than enough talent to keep that squad in la segunda. now it looks like halilovic will leave on loan because of it. can't have a entire youth squad full of players with deulofeu type attitudes

Luis Figo stopped from appearing in Barcelona-Juventus team

The ex-Portugal winger, 42, has been blocked by the club from playing in a combined Juventus and Barcelona legends team to face a World XI on Friday.

Figo's inclusion prompted anger from fans of the club, still unforgiving of his move to Real Madrid in 2000.

Barcelona took the issue to Uefa, who agreed to withdraw Figo from the team.

Barca have not fully explained the reasoning for the move to stop Figo from taking part in the fixture, which takes place 24 hours before the club meet Juventus in the Champions League final in Berlin.

Barcelona tweeted news of Uefa sanctioning their block on Figo

Edwin van der Sar, Alessandro Del Piero and Fabio Cannavaro are just three of the names who will feature for the combination team, which will be managed by Brazil legend Zico.

Figo, who joined Barcelona in 1995, won two La Liga titles with the club but joined Real for £37m in July of 2000, winning Fifa's Ballon d'Or award four months later as a result of much of his performances for Barca over the year.

On his return to the Nou Camp, banners were in place to taunt him and objects were thrown in his direction including a pig's head.

Former Real full-back Michel Salgado famously said: "By the second or third corner I turned to Luis Figo and said 'Forget it, mate. You're on your own'. I used to offer Luis the chance to take the short corner, drawing up close to him near the touchline, but not this time. Missiles were raining down from the stands."

Tripping. He's a great option off the bench, which is how he should have always been utilized in the first place. Outside of MSN there's really no attacking options outside of him.

Just have to say fuck yeah to pique and mascherano. Both were insane this year. Pique had been a pile of shit the last couple of years. Probably the best CB in the world this year.

Masch's transformation to a CB was shaky as fuck to start but he was incredible this year.

Also. Rakitic. Probably the most underrated of them all.

Huge. Sucks given the transfer ban but he can run for days. Ideally, sign Alves for another year and then let him do whatever the fuck he wants, even on a free.

    Huge man crush on rakitic.

He's the reason Alves had such a great year. Protected the right side much better than anyone in the past which allowed Alves to play way more advanced without the risk of getting hit down that wing.

    So:

Re-elect Bartomeu and likely extend Enrique? Or elect LaPorta and risk losing Enrique? By all accounts LaPorta is favored to win

It's why Enrique continues to say he's not sure about his future. Here's the gist of it:

"There are presidential elections at Barcelona this summer.

If the incumbent, Josep Maria Bartomeu, were to win, then continuity would be a strong option. It is not guaranteed because, while the manager has one more year left on his current deal, it is not certain whether he would continue to commit his future to this kind of ordeal by fire.

But let's take the widespread assumption that, if Joan Laporta stands for election, he will win.

Luis Enrique is irrevocably associated with Rosell and with "Barto" of whom Laporta is not fond, having sacked him from a previous Camp Nou board while president between 2003-10.

There is also another factor. In 1996, the signing of Luis Enrique from Real Madrid was used by the Camp Nou board to distract from the vicious dismissal of manager Johan Cruyff. This whole episode was the start of Laporta's surge to power on a protest-ticket and he has not forgotten what happened.

Given all that, should Laporta be voted into office this summer, then it would take a mighty shift of philosophy and personality for him to ratify Luis Enrique in his post.

Impossible? No, but extremely unlikely and potentially very uncomfortable, as the world waits for the first cracks to appear next season. Plus, Laporta will likely stand with a named coach on his election ticket.

In football, you never know. And success is a magical elixir. Perhaps even "president" Laporta might decide that Luis Enrique can stay -- but would the tough-minded Asturian fancy that?"
