Looks like we may be looking to sign the Ajax duo of De Light & Frenkie De Jong this summer. That would be tremendous.
Nothing about Messi rescuing the unbeaten season off the bench? Am I stupid for thinking that Barca should retire the 10 when he hangs it up? Or the only name that can be on the back of the jersey is Messi. A blessing to be able to watch him - not trying to be hyperbolic - transcend the sport element of soccer and make it art.
Our right flank is one gorgeous bitch with Nelsinho and Dembélé. It’s so good even Messi is hanging out on the right flank for the first time since 2015 lol
Lucky to get a draw today. Not sure wtf vermaelen was doing on the 2nd goal, you can tell him and Mina don’t play together very often.
one of the greatest players of his generation. his national team performance makes him oddly universally loved in spain too. i hope he gets as much money as his heart desires elsewhere
It feels like the end of an era a bit for me with Iniesta leaving. Really got into following the team in like 08, his goal in the 09 semifinal vs Chelsea will always stick out at the most exciting moment I’ve had watching the club.
Literally my exact same experience as a fan. That goal will be one of favorite sports memories for a while.
And to be honest, I’m not sure where my loyalty will be when Messi retires. I won’t cheer for another team, but so much of the joy of watching this team is due to Messi. I know I sound like a piece of shit.
Denis is such a lovely little player. It’s a shame he didn’t get more minutes this year until late in the season.
I just don't understand the performance given it was the last thing to play for. I've never been so disappointed by a season that ends in a double. It'll be really interesting if all these Greizeman rumors are true what Valverde decides to roll with out of the gate. Could see a lot of movement this window.
Been a long time seeing a Barcelona without Iniesta or Xavi. Next year is going to be weird especially since there isn't a natural La Masia kid ready to step in.
Just wanna say that it was a pleasure to watch Don Andres. A class act. There were many years that people were praising Ronaldinho and Messi, and rightfully so, but Iniesta was the one that made it work in my eyes.
Can’t overlook Xavi. It’s awesome to see how universally loved Iniesta was in Spain. Obviously the WC goal plays a factor.
You hate to see this type of posting. I remember the times when my team won something and I found it prudent to post in my rival teams thread...wait no that’s never happened.
