After Suarez’s final touch in the box during the last minute of the game their is nothing more accurate.
Suarez's first touch has been atrocious. An absolute mess. Like, if he even touches it, it's bobbled and then it's maybe 50/50 if he controls it
I realize dembele is coming back from injury so they’re playing things cautiously. Still, he was our liveliest attacking option and constantly a threat based on speed alone. Bringing on Coutinho instead of another Dembele (Malcom) pissed me off to no end. We’re set up to have a full 90 minutes of blistering pace out wide, but nah, let’s go back to the dried up well.
Thought dembouz looked dangerous out there but I get the change. We narrowed the field and found a lot more success generating opportunities in the 2nd half vs that brutal bunkering from Lyon. Spreading players out wide meant less close associations and combination play and it got picked apart pretty well by that Lyon bus in the first half. We deserved to nab one at least in the end.
I haven't gotten to watch as much as I'd like this season, but I'm really over Suarez. If we can flip him, Vermaelen, Rafinha and Coutinho for a young striker (Jovic), De Ligt and say Grimaldo, I'd be very happy with that offseason along with De Jong of course. Probably a pipe dream, but whatever.
Another uninspiring performance. I don’t know who is more worthless between Coutinho or Suárez. Dembele should start every game he’s fit as he’s our second most electric and creative attacking force. I can’t believe we signed this buffoon Valverde to an extension.
I truly hope that Suarez's first away goal since '15 triggers something, or breaks some mental barrier in him. We are an incredible, unstoppable team if he is an actual threat.
We don't have anyone on the bench that can match hos play, when he's on it. Coutinho can get fucked because Dembele is better.
The only mental barrier broken is that he still needs to get airplane-style spoon fed by Messi to find the net. I’d still like to see how wild shit could get with a front three of Malcom Messi Dembele. Suarez isn’t making a rebound; he’s spent. We keep trotting his lifeless corpse out there because he’s messi’s boy, though.
Lol exagerado. This messi’s boy talking point is bullshit. Luisito was having a fine season before this recent slump.
5 minutes in and Casemiro should already be on a yellow. Of course, he doesn’t even get whistled for a foul.
Just like the first leg, Real Madrid look like the better team. Really lucky we aren’t behind. We also look like we have zero game plan other then to rely on Messi (shocker). Zero creativity in midfield.
With all due respect, I think this is the opposite of our issue. Messi is getting drowned out because Real Madrid have 4-5 guys in the middle of the pitch. Dembélé hasn’t been great but he’s been our most creative player. Our only clear cut opportunities came from him. Also, the only reason to play Sergi as a RCM in front of Semedo is so that he can provide attacking width on the right side. If he’s not going to do that then gamble with him at RB and move Dembélé to right wing or take him off for Alena.
Bruh. We have one shot and zero on target and you're out here posting about how Suarez looks sharp Any sort of dangerous moments have come from Dembele crossing the ball across the box.
We need to pack the midfield to assist Messi in tight spaces. He can still pick alba out wide when he wants to. Our guys are too isolated just like we we were those first 60 mins vs Lyon.
Saurez with away goals in back to back matches after everyone talking shit about him not scoring away in forever.
He is not doing great, for sure. And as much as I’m loathed to say this Vinicius is quite a player already.
