Didn't say son at least 10 times. F. I could watch those Bill Dance bloopers on YouTube all day long.
I always liked grigsby tbph. He was very enthusiastic. in fisherman was my favorite though. I hated mark sosin
Mark Sosin was such an arrogant fat fuck. All of the guys he fished with hated him, or I so heard, they just did it for the publicity. I'd stomach him just because he was one of the few saltwater shows on at the time, and that's always been my jam. In-Fisherman is great, and I always get a nice laugh out of how Yankee some of the stuff they do is . I've got absolutely no problems with catching any kind of fish, but those guys get all sorts of pumped up over catching 8" yellow perch through the ice and everything else. I do love how technical they get though.
Yeah, I like Poveromo a lot. He knows his stuff and doesn't come off as holier than thou, or treat his captains like shit.
You need to start fishing big rivers. Once you hook into a 20 lb cat, sturgeon, or gawd knows what else that lurks in there, there's no going back. I don't even bother fishing for walleyes anymore, because meh.
Larry is my fave. Production quality of the show isn't the greatest, but he goes to the ends of the earth and catches some amazing fish. His seminars are very entertaining, as well. Add Al Lindner to that list. Other fave shows are The Next Bite and In-Depth Outdoors. TNB has great production quality and is very entertaining. IDO focuses on local fishing and the show that they run on Saturday was filmed during the week, so all of the patterns and hot bites are a
I hear ya. Closest is the Platte but its always questionable if it'll be more water or more sand bars. I'd like to hit the Missouri up at some point. Sturgeon, Muskie and a large cat are all on the bucket list. I'd love to make it up to your neck of the woods sometime
I'm having a pond management company come look at our pond tomorrow, the first step is the electrofishing- really looking forward to seeing what we have in there, and seeing what we need to do to get our pond back on track
I need to do that with ours. There are some stocked channel cats, a few bass, and some crappie somebody threw in there. I'm thinking I just need to start over with cats and bream.
Yeah I'm going to take all kinds of pictures- someone caught a 13 lb bass in our pond 5+ years ago, and I caught a 21# cat 8 years ago so h Who knows what we'll get. Using south eastern pond management- seem pretty good from what I've researched
got a small trout on topwater at dusk, but the size doesnt matter - nothing better than topwater explosion. billfish tournament this weekend.
It was a really cool process- growing up my grandfather always said throw every bream on the bank. Well that couldn't be more wrong, we are over crowded with bass- and not enough small bait fish for the small bash. He said he sees it all the time, big bass and a bunch of small bass, nothing in between. We netted 4- 4lbers, missed a 6lber or so. Caught a 1-1/4 lb chinquapin, and a bunch of big bream. We need to stock a bunch of theadfin shad, wouldn't hurt to throw in some more bream, and get a fish feeder set up. Also need more cover to fish around.
We were sitting at a friends dock on the black warrior Saturday with some stink bait and a Rod in a rod holder. Heard the line going out and jumped out and reeled this paddlefish. If you look closely the line got wrapped around the tail of the fish 3 times is the only reason it was caught. Pretty interesting fish The Milkman
How do paddlefish fight? Do they just pull or are there runs? Speaking of fights, I broke my daughters reel on a striper yesterday. One took a rooster tail and ran down stream. Smoked the drag.
They'll try to run deep on you. Once they're near the surface, they usually thrash around and make one last run if they have anything left. Couple time I watched a person foul-hook a paddlefish during the walleye runs at a Mississippi lock and dam.
