Posted this guys picks here before, and he hit an exacta box a couple years ago. Here are his picks this year. 17. Mor Spirit 12-1 14. Mohaymen 10 -1 13. Nyquist 3-1 11. Exaggerator 8-1
He hit on an exacta box that paid like 110 on a $1 bet 2 years ago. Not sure what you want me to do about him going chalk this year. http://nflfever2.com/nflfever/index.php?topic=36563.30
Had a 77 dollar trifecta and was wrestling with Gun Runner in 3rd the entire time. Decided to keep him out. Straight chalk regardless AND I cashed in a 9-1 bet from TVG @10$ on Nyquist so I won all of my money back plus $20. I'll take it.
That formula is actually clutch as shit. I've all but eliminated the other fields as I think that's the greatest predictor there is as it's capable of accounting for differences between distances. I really can't thank you enough... just not enough for any sort of cut
I got 2 out if the 3 in my trifecta. I should have thrown in the other favorite but I was going for the bigger pay out.
Ended up just barely breaking even on the day, solely because of the Turf Classic. Had a nice win bet on Divisidero, plus connected him with World Approval in the exacta. If I hadn't had so much money invested in the Derby, it would have been a nice day for me, since I didn't have too much riding on the other undercard races. But the Derby kicked my ass this year. Knew I was screwed when Mor Spirit ran wide around both turns, and Danzing Candy set that quick of a pace. But frankly, even with a good trip, Mor Spirit just didn't have his best today, and wasn't hitting the board. I'm surprised more closers didn't make an impact beyond Exaggerator and Suddenbreakingnews (though Mohaymen was somewhat of a closer this time around). Would need to watch the replay multiple times, but I'm pretty sure My Man Sam was just beginning to make his move around the far turn when Exaggerator forced him to check a bit as he made his move. He may not have been good enough, but he didn't get a fair chance. He still came on belatedly with a little bit of a run. Of the also rans, he's worth tracking.
Getting ready to abandon TVG and jump to Twinspires over how shitty TVG has been. Their site goes down before the derby and doesn't come back up until after the derby and for a brief period on Friday they were offering triple odds. Considering this was only opened for a 1-hour window and they posted these graphics: I assumed that I would be getting 9-1 odds. I mean, maybe I'm the ONLY person that interpreted this as such, but the graphic of the odds along with the implication that this is an advanced wager made me believe that I would be getting those odds. Am I an idiot or do I have an actual complaint?
