First back to back away wins since Nov 07. Sitting in third after the four goal explosion today at Vicarage Road. Now we just need to tell Fabio to shut the fuck up.

The Hammers' valuation of last season’s Footballer of the Year has been widely known for some time – they will not accept less than £8m for the midfielder.

"It's ridiculously low," said West Ham co-owner David Sullivan of the QPR offer. "We see it as a cheap publicity stunt.

“It’s a bit like us bidding £12m for Wayne Rooney.”

At least this late goal cost us 2 points and not 3. Still sucks though given all the late chances. Carlton Cole looked like he is actually worth the money people associate with his transfer value, but I would like to see some more of Carew.

West Ham are expected to bid for MK Dons' £1.5million-rated striker Sam Baldock this week.

Manager Sam Allardyce watched the 22-year-old score a hat-trick in the League One side's 6-2 in over Chesterfield on Saturday.

Allardyce is keen bolster his forward line and also plans to discuss a £2m deal for Nice striker Eric Mouloungui, 27.

Allardyce also likes Leeds' Max Gradel and Bristol City's Nicky Maynard but they are too expensive.

Reading and Crystal Palace are keen on Baldock.

Gradel looked good today. Bad miss on a PK, but the man has some wheels coming up the wing. Doubt there is the money, but I'd love to see him back in Upton Park.

I'd be just fine with this. Too bad I don't see the money aspect working out.

Kevin Nolan has named his ideal replacement for Scott Parker - should the midfielder move on as expected before next week's Premier League transfer deadline.

With Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham still casting an eye over the England midfielder, the West Ham board are hoping that at least one will meet their £8million asking price ahead of next Wednesday's cut-off point.

And should Parker finally secure the move he has been seeking since West Ham were relegated back in May, current Hammers captain Nolan believes that the club should look no further than to a former team mate of his as replacement - Newcastle United's Joey Barton (see our mock-up above), who is available on a free transfer.

"Would Joey come here? Well, I came here, so I can't see why Joey Barton wouldn't," Nolan told Mirror Football. "It is a massive club.

"The way he has been treated over the last couple of years, he is probably looking for an escape. He knows I'm here, he knows Sam [Allardyce] is here and what we are about. I can look after him and he can look after me!

"It would definitely be good for me. Joey is a great player to play alongside and he is a winner. He tells it straight, as people know, but deep down he is a lovely lad and I get on really well with him. He would be a great acquisition to the squad if we got him here.

"I'm sure the West Ham fans would love him and the players would come to love him. They read a lot of things about him - some of them are true, but others are blown out of proportion. With Joey, you have got someone when he puts on the shirt, he genuinely wants to win, and he wants to do the best for the club and the players."

Barton was made available for transfer by the Magpies after upsetting the club's board with a series of messages, posted via his Twitter account, criticising the club's transfer policy and other internal decisions.

But despite being placed on the transfer list at the beginning of the month, the 28-year-old has started both of Newcastle's Premier League games this season. Parker meanwhile has started all four of West Ham's Championship matches, scoring the one goal (against Watford).

West Ham reject Scott Parker 'player swap offer from Manchester City'
West Ham have rejected an approach from Manchester City for their star international midfielder Scott Parker.

The bid tabled by Roberto Mancini is thought to have included part-exchanges for Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

West Ham have rejected a player swap deal from Manchester City for Scott Parker

David Sullivan and David Gold are battling to keep Parker at the club and will only settle for a cash offer for the England midfielder.

Bridge spent time at West Ham towards the end of the club's last Premier League campaign, which ended in relegation, and is currently surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium, with Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Aleksander Kolarov ahead of him in the pecking order.

NK, did Mancini forget we had to endure him last year? Any offer including Bridge is an insult.

Yeah I have no clue what that was all about. No doubt Parker is a great player but he does not fit the profile that City have been going after over the last two years. I would be willing to say that this will be the only time we will hear about City asking about Parker.

West Ham have signed highly-rated striker Sam Baldock from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.
The Hammers have captured the 22-year-old, who has scored six goals in as many appearances this season, on a four-year deal with the option for an additional year.
Baldock told West Ham TV: "I am so pleased to be here. I am just excited to be coming to such a great club, caked in so much history."
He added: "I just want to hit the ground running."
Sam Allardyce was one of several managers interested in securing Baldock's services and he revealed his delight at completing the deal.
"We are very excited and very pleased to acquire such a young, talented goal-scorer," he told the club's official site.
"I am sure he will go a long way and hopefully it will be an exciting time to help get West Ham where we want them to go."

    Oh, he mad...

A fractious Steve Cotterill insisted that his Portsmouth side deserved to beat West Ham - before confusing Julien Faubert and Henri Lansbury during his post-match press conference...

Steve: Sam thought the red card was a turning point. Presumably you would go along with that?

Oh, that was nice of him. It was, wasn't it.

We were the better side today. To come to a club like West Ham, a full house and a great place to play your football - I thought we did play our football today, I thought we were really good today. We were very, very unfortunate not to get three points.

I don't think the booking for the sending off [was wrong], I don't have any problem with that one. But the booking before the booking that got him sent off? I thought he [the referee] was very pernickety today with a few things, you know. It's a competitive game and I think there were three or four of our lads that got booked today and three or four of our lads that didn't deserve to be booked.

The Championship's like that, it's tough and uncompromising and I thought there was two teams out there today that... you know. Perhaps he thought he'd evened things up by sending Freddie Piquionne off on Sunday, it was that late in the game. What was the point of that? Perhaps he thought he'd evened it up with that; it was nearly Sunday by the time he sent him off, wasn't it? Ridiculous; ridiculous.

Presumably your mood didn't get any better when they were given a penalty for hand ball. What was your view on that?

It's ball to hand. It is ball to hand. Listen, I know you might expect me to come in here and say that, because that's what the other manager does and he complains about it. But I've watched it and I've watched it and if I watch it five times Jason Pearce is like that [raises hands], he's like this - he's not even looking at the ball, it's hit him on the hand. Faubert [it was actually Lansbury], to be fair to him is trying to lift it over him so he's trying to look for a nice bit of skill.

The crowd got them the penalty. The crowd got them the penalty and good luck to West Ham becasue that's what they did today. The crowd got them the penalty. We were the team in the ascendancy and for me, the sending off and the penalty... The fourth goal was a fantastic header. It was a great ball and a fantastic header. Absolutely no complaints about that whatsoever. But we were very disappointed today, we thought we passed the ball really well against a very good team. But I think today, we were a very good team also.

How did you rate Erik [Huseklepp]'s contribution today?

Okay, yeah. Look - it's a team performance, I'm not going to go on, it's not the Erik Huseklepp show, ok?

West Ham have signed Arsenal reserve goalkeeper Manuel Almunia on a month's loan.

With Rob Green having been ruled out with a knee injury, Sam Allardyce took advantage of the Premier League loan window in order to snap up the Spanish 'keeper, who was once touted as a potential England goalkeeper having become eligible for dual nationality.

Sam Allardayce, the coach of West Ham, was spotted today in Milan. And Sky has revealed that there was a meeting with Inter. Both team certainly discussed the future of Luc Castaignos who, to many people, will surely leave Inter this summer. There are many interest teams for the Dutch striker like his former club Feyenoord but West Ham, newly promoted to the Premier League, are making important steps.

So I fly to up to Michigan on Wednesday for the Boise game. I successfully did not see or know anything about the West Ham match until I watched the DVR today. I was a bit floored when I saw Andy warming up. Thought that deal was dead. Honestly, didn't like the idea til he was out there. Jarvis feeding him off the wing with Vaz Te on the other side could lead to some goodness.
