Tickets for both nights at Lakewood. Planning on going to Umphreys in Sept in Birmingham and maybe ARU. And taking the wife to Garth Brooks.
More moe talk please. The first time I heard Four I was building furniture in the other room and had my iPod on shuffle. I could tell it was moe, but I was unfamiliar with the song and I thought they were saying "Bob Segar Doesn't Lie" instead of "Four Sleeping Dogs Lie"
Hope y'all fools are digging in. That spacey Al shred solo followed by the Chuck soothing solo is the stuff that dreams and golden vaginas are made of. I'm posting it for your benefit not mine.
Little tidbit on YOY. In the second verse when the sing "I wish I could suck like Monkey Wrench" and they do it with heavy metal voices, this in reference to their first show where they opened at some bar for a heavy metal cover band called Monkey Wrench.
Panic just did Waiting for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago for encore. Edit: I'm seeing they've done this more often recently than I thought. Was good though.
I guess I posted in the thread before the crash or somewhere else, but I had been wondering if anyone had covered Eminence Front. Think I found an Umphrey's cover of it, but have a friend who just posted the video she got from Gov't Mule covering it in NOLA from this past Thursday I think. Doubt this will embed or work but I'll try. https://www.facebook.com/jill.revette/videos/10205292811532512/ https://www.facebook.com/jill.revette/videos/vb.1014150037/10205292811532512/?type=2&theater
Umphreys covered it at Langerado in 2005. Edit: Never mind, I was thinking of Baba O'Riley. Pretty sure I've heard them cover it though.
Yeah I found a video of it and posted it, though it was either before the crash or at the temp board, I don't feel like finding it.
Owsley did you at one point in your life sign up for archive.org and leave reviews under the name Owsley8u?
It was a singular review on a biscuits show in Tuscaloosa.. to quote "Great show with a mind-bending I-Man. A hardhat and diaper are strongly recommended while listening to this I-Man."
Panic didn't cover it, but they blasted it between the first and second set at the 2013 NYE show. T'was awesome.
I was there for that. Only time they've played Burning Down the House. Place went nuts. Was on the floor.
Gotcha. I'm looking forward to Sturgill Simpson more than Panic tomorrow. Only going tomorrow, though. Tried to convince some friends to come and go to JRAD, but no dice. Wish I had known about Voodoo Dead earlier.
