Score from the only forward run we've made the whole game. Should be down 2-1 and are getting completely outplayed.
How do you spend a quarter of a billion pounds and end up with a lineup with that? Injuries be damned, that's a ridiculously thin squad.
Still think we should have held onto both Januzaj and Chicharito. We already knew we were going to be thin up top with just Rooney with Martial and Memphis being both young and inexperienced in the EPL. That along with no depth on the back line, LvG's squad construction has been pretty terrible.
The managing of the summer transfer window was god awful. Van Gaal deserves to be fired just for that.
Loaned but he's recently said that he doesn't know if he's coming back. Not sure if there was a buy option or what.
I would say maybe January brings new hope but I feel like we will just overpay for a few players at the last minute and get no real squad improvement.
Manchester United @ManUtd 1h1 hour ago #mufc will play FC Midtjylland in the @EuropaLeague last 32, with the Reds away for the first leg on 18 Feb before the return on 25 Feb.
With guardiolas future coming into focus in the next week or so... Arsenal: wenger Liverpool: klopp Chelsea: mourinho Manchester city: guardiola Manchester united: ...giggs? News of ancelotti going to bayern This could end up being pretty bad with all our rivals having better managers than us.
Guardiola to City would be awful for us. That being said, I feel like we could attract more/better players to whatever system Giggs plans on running. Which I assume would be a lot more like what Fergie ran as opposed to LvG.
LVG needs to go. This can't continue. Out of top 4, out of CL, only have something like 3 wins our last 12 out, spent a quarter of a billion on players. Just unreal.
Manutd Stat's@ManutdStat For the first time in 69 years Man United played back-to-back top flight matches against promoted sides and lost both matches. #LVGout Transfer news @TrustyTransfers 5m5 minutes ago This season: Di Maria - 9 Goals - 11 Assists Chicharito - 22 Games - 19 Goals
back to back losses to Norwich and Bournemouth is enough to go. There just isn't any rhythm or flow to the team. Everything is slow and predictable. We only have one forward that is capable of playing in the EPL and LVG has been playing him on the wing.
He said in his press conference yesterday that he thinks Rooney still has 3 more good years in him too.
Two weeks ago I would have said no to Mourinho but honestly I could care less now as long as LVG goes. Not only does his formations suck but he has no enthusiasm to stand up and wind up the players to play better. He must be on his way out.
I'm not sure Mourinho makes a difference here. I don't care to find out, either. The guy is such a cunt that I can't stand the thought of him managing the club. I would definitely take Pep, though.
I don't care who they hire at this point. Just get LvG out before the start of the January transfer window.
Saw that too. Ultimatums like that are retarded imo. It's been 17 games worth of shitty display after shitty display, and in the span of two weeks we have been knocked out the CL and lost to two newly promoted teams in back to back games. We are 5th in the table and look the least likely to stay in the title race. Not really sure what else they need to see. Giving him two more game pretty much says to me that they really don't want to fire him and are just hoping that he can get at least one win to quiet the fans down a little.
Going from LVG to Mourinho will really promote the attractive football United fans are hoping to see.
@MUFC_today: Mark Ogden on Sky Sports 1, "Louis van Gaal has left Carrington via the back gate just like David Moyes to avoid media." #mufc
Agreed. Going from one boring style to the next doesn't really excite me. Although if Mourinho can win, I guess I shouldn't complain.
I think if Mourinho is hired right away then it is a clear sign that Pep to City is probably already a done deal.
