Great comeback boys! This needs to be the squad. Who cares about the injuries. These youths are fun and attack like Man Utd of old.
It was looking bleak for Memphis this season, hopefully he can carry this forward to the weekend. I thought he'd be a star in the EPL, takes some longer than others though.
First time scoring 5 goals in a competitive match under LvG. Haven't scored 5 times in a competitive match since Nov. 27, 2013 against Leverkusen in the CL.
Read that Giggsy has been working with him directly (a lot of it mental work). It looked like he was told to play like he was on the school yard today. Totally uninhibited.

some of the stuff memphis did last night was mesmerizing. memphis, martial, moyes-versuon of januzaj and we got a stew going
exceprts from the defender marking Memphis I have never been this close to crying after a match. I am devastated, and it’s not going to be a good night of sleep. He is the best player I have ever faced. It is difficult to argue for anything else when he plays like this. He is the best. He can do anything. He will go inside, outside, turn me around and use his incredible pace to get past me. Obviously, I would have loved some more backup, but when I am the one being destroyed over and over, it is not fair to blame my teammates for anything. The second yellow card is a redundancy. Completely unnecessary. It will be a game I remember for a very long time.
How much has been spent on transfers by United the past couple years? I don't get why owners shouldn't make money on the team.
We need to find more of these young guys. Martial, Lingaard, and now Rashford going off in the first few games of their first team careers at United.
Works for me, if this season isn't going to end in trophies might as well prep for August and get the young players more time.
Trust me, going with hungry youth players over old and lazy wage thieves was the best thing that's happened to us. Rashford could be the next Harry Kane if you give him a sustained run of matches. Probably not quite as good but you can dream.
although memphis did not replicate thursday's performance, its been two pretty great games by him imo. today he was a great outlet, held the ball up well, did his role and didnt take too much on himself. i think he's definitely shown some improvement and maturity in his decision making the past two games. hopefully he can keep this up. his touch and ability to make something in tight spaces and turns has been fantastic.
Coquelin is pretty fast and a solid defender. He was able to make up the ground when he got beat or in the run of play. Which Memphis did a good job. As you said, I am definitely encouraged by his play.
