Lol of course Rooney fucking scores. What a touch by Lingard tho, he has looked really good every time he's been on the field.
Huge 3 points as we now lead the group after PSV beat Wolfsburg today. Taking Martial off for Fellaini was still retarded but can't argue with the result. The goal drought ended at 404 minutes and we now haven't conceded in 390 minutes. Depay is going to struggle for playing time if Lingard keeps his current form.
Rooney is now untouchable in the lineup, can't see how LVG isn't 100% bought in to starting him forever
Oh yes please. I think I saw on twitter that we had scouts at a Bayer Leverkusen match recently. Manchester United @ManUtdUpdates_ 1h1 hour ago Hakan Calhanoglu: "Barcelona and Manchester United are huge clubs. It would be difficult to turn them down." #MUFC
I didn't think Rooney was nearly as bad as he's usually been. Herrera not getting more playing time is a joke tho. I'd be starting to get pissed if I were him.
Carrick injured vs Spain, Smalling played 84 minutes and was reportedly limping when he came off. Martial had a pretty nice assist against Germany tho.
Ig Carrick has an ankle ligament injury, was reportedly on crutches after today's game. Not a huge loss, even though we've won something like 80% of our games with him in the lineup the last two seasons. Prefer the Schneiderlin/Schweini pairing imo.
@SergeMUFC: Di Maria's wife was very shaken after the robbery in Manchester. Just wait till she gets to Paris & sees ISIS having a field day. #mufc
Yeah at first I thought it was made after the events in which case I was going to say it was a pretty scumbag tweet, then I realized it must have been made when Di Maria made the move.
Sounds like Carrick's injury isn't as bad as people thought, seen reports that he will only be out a couple weeks. Really hope Martial's injury isn't serious as he was also on crutches after the England match.
No rooney, carrick, martial, fellaini for watford. Exciting times. Which means we will have our best lineup - martial
I forgot to record it too. All I know is Leicester fucking City is top of the table and we play them in a 1 vs 2 match-up next saturday. I did see that Memphis scored. Good for him, hopefully he can turn it around and find some consistency.
United ran the first half but had nothing to show after the Memphis goal. Should have put 3-4 on the board, missing so many opportunities to put the game away and thankfully Rojos dumb tackle didn't blow the game.
Not really a fan, but I'm going to Old Trafford tomorrow to watch the game against PSV Eindhoven and to eat some prawn sandwiches. Will post pics in here when I get back on Thursday.
Manchester United @ManUtd 35s36 seconds ago #mufc XI: De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Rojo, Blind; Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin; Lingard, Rooney, Memphis; Martial.
Really enjoyed how we attacked in the first half. Sad having to watch us pass in an arc around the pitch now. Lack of finishing killing us again.
Martial holding the ball at the top of the box and literally everyone just stood there and watched him. Jesus fucking christ this is infuriating.
I loathe Fellaini ball so much. 10 minutes spent just sending wishful cross after wishful cross to one guy. Waste.
A must win game imo and that's the shit product that we roll out. Herrera being injured killed us. Memphis reverted to his old self as soon as their right back remembered that he's not going to his left and Rooney might as well have not even been on the field.
Must have missed that but I barely even noticed he was there most of the time. Martial kinda disappeared in the 2nd half too.
I didn't see the game, but I did notice the Fellaini for Schweiny substitution and figured that Schweiny must've picked up a knock. This weekend will end one of two ways: either Leicester winning 4-0 or a 0-0 draw. Our offense is a complete fucking disaster when Rooney is starting.
Rooney wasn't even the issue today. Lingard's shit finishing (arguably two clear cut chances), Depay's predictable inside cut and lack of defense, and Martial's dribbling straight at defenders (showing the ball too much and it getting poked away easily), as well as both of them spending too long on the ball on counters were the issues today.
