@MUFCScoop: Gary Neville on Jamie Vardy's goal: "Manchester United used to counter-attack like that." #MUFC
Outside of how pathetically easy the goal was, I'm happy for Vardy. His rise through the leagues is such an awesome story.
Doesn't matter. In fact, it probably serves us well here in the LVG era. We often score one we seldom score two, remember?
Fair enough. Just seemed like a weird time to blow the whistle. 20 seconds left and they had worked it over to Martial who was like 10 yards outside the box with tons of room in front of him and Darmian wide open on the wing.
Even if this story was debunked I can imagine it came from a place of truth http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/story/ander-herrera-insists-he-is-happy-at-manchester-united-120115
I wouldn't blame him at all if he wanted out. Constantly sitting on bench so that Rooney can play out of position, even though it's obvious to everyone except the guy who sets the lineup that the team is way better with Herrera in it, would get pretty damn old. Doesn't make things any better when LvG is telling the media that he is happy with Rooney's play and that he would still be in the lineup whether he is the captain or not.
Sounds like Rojo dislocated his shoulder again in practice and will be out for several weeks. The upcoming transfer window is going to be fun to follow. I would expect multiple signings with all these injuries. Left back, winger and another striker are all positions of need imo.
Rooney injured his ankle and will miss the West Ham and Wolfsburg matches. Unfortunately, Herrera is still injured as well and won't be available this weekend either. This team is falling apart. Injuries: Shaw Rooney Rojo Herrera Lingard Jones Valencia Edit: Lingard is avalaible for tomorrow.
And it's official. DeGea, Darmian, McNair, Smalling (c), Blind, Schweiny, Schneiderlin, Mata, Fellaini, Lingaard, Martial. Subs S. Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, Varela, Carrick, Pereira, Young, Memphis.
Blind has been poor. Darmian cant cross with his left. Mcnair cant attack. We miss rafael. Really need herrera to get healthy.
So many damn chances and couldn't convert. The West Ham GK had a few good saves, but the Fellaini shot was right at him.
Even though we are near the top feels like so many dropped and wasted points that will bite the team in the ass come May.
Manchester United @ManUtd 57s58 seconds ago #mufc XI: De Gea, Varela, Smalling (c), Blind, Darmian, Fellaini, Schweinsteiger, Lingard, Mata, Memphis, Martial
I've gotten so used to this not scoring shit that I didn't even realize it had been that long. Manchester United @ManUtdUpdates_ 51s51 seconds ago Anthony Martial has ended a run of 690 minutes without a goal in all comps for Manchester United. [Opta] #MUFC Edit: I'm an idiot. I read that wrong, it's just for Martial.
Smalling never looks over his shoulder, or hed be a better defender on breaks instead of moving to leave a gaping hole. Our injuries, goddamn.
Fully expecting us to equalize, only to have PSV get a stoppage time winner to advance. Just to really drive home the fuck us.
