I mean what other option is there? Real has made it pretty clear they're not gonna pay what ManU wants and you can't keep him around.
@RedDevilsDaily: MUFC Starting XI: Romero; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Shaw; Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Mata, Januzaj, Memphis; Rooney. @RedDevilsDaily: MUFC Subs: Johnstone, McNair, Valencia, Carrick, Herrera, Young, Chicharito..
I've lost all faith in Rooney, shocking to see such a steep decline in his play over the last season and makes me wonder if there is more to it with some thing mental. Either way I don't like the role he plays currently and it's holding the team back
We dont have enough creativity from the middle. Its too stagnant. Noone makes makes runs or shows or pushes the ball from the central midfield position... Its too conservative but i suppose that is a reason why we have zero goals conceded. And only one goal scored by one of our own players. Poor wayne. He was onside. Herrera needs more playing time if we want to improve in attack.
Memphis will be an elite player one day but it's clear he isn't there yet and I fear the success of the attack will rely on him too much before he is fully ready
I really think the issue is more with an ineffectual Januzaj at CAM than it is with Rooney being up top. Think we're fine with either a new striker and Rooney at CAM or a RM, with Mata at CAM and Rooney up top.
From Neymar on Friday to tomorrow's papers saying £100 million bid is going out for Gareth Bale. Never going to happen...
Ridiculous transfer rumors almost make me wish the team were poor and was paying guys in food stamps, this way we wouldnt have to read this nonsense all the time.
Van Gaal is officially worrying me now: Manchester United don't need a striker, says boss Louis van Gaal ESPN FC's Shaka Hislop outlines another disappointing performance from Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, this time against Newcastle United. Louis van Gaal said Manchester United do not need a striker and will only buy one if he is the best in the world. The United manager professed himself happy with the forwards in his squad, despite seeing his side only score twice -- with an own goal and a deflection -- in their first three league games. But Van Gaal is content to carry on with Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Marouane Fellaini, James Wilson and Adnan Januzaj as his main attackers. "I have a lot of options," Van Gaal said. "I have chosen Chicharito [Hernandez], because he is another type from Rooney, and we have also Fellaini, who is another type, then I have Wilson and Januzaj, so I don't think we need a striker. "If he is the best striker in the world then, yes, we need him, but if he cannot contribute in our eyes, then we won't buy any striker. But when he does, we shall buy." And Van Gaal admitted that, even if he finds one of the top strikers in global football, there is no guarantee he will succeed. United signed record buy Angel Di Maria for £59.7 million and the previously-prolific Radamel Falcao in the final weeks of last summer's transfer window but neither lived up to his reputation at Old Trafford. Despite his No. 10 not scoring for 10 games, Louis van Gaal still believes in Wayne Rooney. "In a club like Manchester United, you never know that, because you have seen it for example with Falcao and Di Maria last season: great players, but they have to adapt to the culture of Manchester United," Van Gaal said. "You have that with every buy." Captain Rooney has gone 10 United games without a goal, but his manager insisted he was content with his performances. "He has to do what the striker has to do in our system and he does that, so I am very satisfied with him," added Van Gaal. United have not conceded in their first three Premier League games and Van Gaal is pleased with how his defence of Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw are performing. "It's a new back-four because Darmian is new, Smalling looks that he is new, Blind is new in that position and Shaw is also new, because last season he didn't play so much," he explained. "But we have started already from the first training session trying this back-four, only [the injured Phil] Jones has participated also, so we did it a lot of times and I am very happy how they have performed, that's true."
@AndreasValera: Two medicals booked in at Carrington for the next 7 days. Something is happening at #MUFC Spoiler Ed and LVG getting their heads examined?
There were reports on our end that his agent shopped him to Bayern and they weren't expected to bite but there was another Premier League team trying to hijack it (and that it wasn't Chelsea)
Interesting. I'm just going to keep assuming that it's another ploy to get more money out of City or a better contract for De Bruyne.
I'm hoping so as well. There's been a ton of stuff out there. I saw at one point that Bayern did get involved and were the likely option because they were willing to loan him back to Wolfsburg for this season then it came out that no his agents were trying to shop him and Bayern weren't really interested. Either way it's still easier to follow than Pogba

Seriously tho, who believes this kind of stuff? Transfer news @TrustyTransfers 4m4 minutes ago Manchester United will push on with a £240m mega deal for Neymar. #MUFC (The Sun)
There are only two players in the world I would even consider paying £240m for. And it would be for the both of them combined. September 1 cannot come fast enough at this point.

So tired of this. utdreport.com @UtdReport 8m8 minutes ago Real Madrid are pessimistic about signing David de Gea this summer. Van Gaal has blocked the transfer. [cope]
Judgement day, I assume our ability to sign anyone meaningful before the deadline will hinge on a positive result tonight

Yes, I didn't realize when I posted that. I thought if you had Fox Soccer Plus it was free, as far as I can tell that is wrong. Fox is the worst
I realize Brugge isn't tough competition but Memphis has shown what he's capable of in these 2 matches. You would like him to be more aggressive on the chance he had but if Rooney is busting his ass Memphis probably has another assist
