The team looked much more comfortable with the tactics compared to last season. Solid start to the preseason. Would have liked to see them create more chances but looked decent for their first game.
Lots of smoke around Pedro this week. Seems to be something to it. I'm not sure he's a upgrade over an in form Di Maria. Papers are all about Muller this morning as well.
11 PM tonight vs San Jose. Also interesting comments from LVG when he said Darmian was brought in to back up Valencia at RB. Id prefer to hold on to ADM over signing Pedro at this time. Selling him now will only result in a big loss. ADM is my opinion is a much better player.
The Darmian comments were definitely a surprise, I do think Darmian will eventually win the spot though. Agree on Pedro, don't want him if he's meant to be a replacement for Di Maria. I'd be okay with losing Di Maria if they want to bring in two players (Pedro and someone else) who can play up top or on the wing.

If I understand the seeding/playoff scenarios correctly (I probably don't) I think we have a 1/5 chance of drawing fenerbache in our forthcoming playoff round. * * assuming they beat shakhtar donetsk in their 2 legged tie. The second leg is Aug 5th. Official draw is Aug 7.
That was from earlier this Summer before the comp started, here are the current matchups Shakhtar will be seeded if they win as will Ajax. If either one loses then Sporting takes over the seeded spot, if both lose then Sporting and CSKA will be seeded. Here are the Club Coefficients (Top 5 teams are seeded) which basically tells you who is next up if a higher ranked team is knocked out. Best case scenario IMO is that Shakhtar wins, Ajax loses (would like to avoid traveling to Russia) and we avoid Monaco in the draw.

I agree, I think he should stay for another season. But if his heart is not in the EPL and more importantly Manchester it will just be another waste of a season. At least they are getting a decent return to mitigate the loss from selling him so quickly.

I think its him wanting to leave more than the club wanting to get rid of him. They don't really have a choice if he doesn't want to be there, better to just get some money back.
If ADM wants to walk, I say take the $46m for him, add that to some of our own, and go out and make an offer for a name of LVG's choosing that the other club can't refuse.

Decent 1st half, defense seemed to settle in better as the half went on. Barca was pretty unlucky that half tho. Agreed that we are messing around with the ball way too much in our own half. Will be interesting to see who comes back out for the 2nd half, Depay was limping around for awhile and Darmian had that collision with Suarez.
