Fish looking to make more moves Miami Marlins scouting Sonny Gray, Ervin Santana: http://www.fishstripes.com/2016/7/7...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
Should #Marlins win today, .534 winning % would be 2nd highest at AS break in franchise history ('97 Marlins were .581, won World Series). Great surprise, and with pretty much no dee Gordon too
2nd place at the break with no Dee and slump Stanton. Not bad. Just need to beat the fucking braves and Ozuna keep playing like he is
Bonds giving the whole team the clear Get this: #Marlins have 5 qualifying batters over .300 at the break. It's the fifth time in last 40 years that's happened, first since 1999.
I posted the other day we had scouts at the twins/A's game watching Santana and that other A's pitcher I hope we go for it
Btw that Naylor kid went 2 for 3 in the futures game today With bour raking right now we can afford to not rush this kid but he looks like a stud
We all love the pageantry, but as a Marlins fan, sort of wish Stanton wasn't doing the HR derby. Hoping it actually helps him continue to get back in his groove - to just be able to swing for the fences at meatballs - but lots of metrics have shown it's caused dips in player's output, post-break.
Rosenthal saying we have been eying Archer, Moore or the other guy from the Rays and are prepared to offer a package involving Hech Then we'd start Rojas at SS said the Rays weren't too interested

2 runs in the top 9th to force extra innings and save Jose from picking up a loss after a 6.1 inning, 4 hit, 2 ER, 14k outing
Glenn Geffner @GlennGeffner 28s29 seconds ago #Marlins win their 50th in game 92, 2nd-fastest ever (83 games in 1997). At 50-42, move 8 over .500 for 1st time since June 3, 2012 (31-23).
Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon was scheduled to begin his rehab assignment Monday, but a rainout resulted in a double-header for Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday. Gordon, who is set to return from his PED suspension July 28, was eligible to begin playing in minor league games Monday. He exited the second game of the doubleheader with a cramp, according to MLB.com’s Emmanuel Pepis. Gordon didn’t leave the box cleanly on his way to first base, according to Pepis. He went 0-for-5 between the two contest. It doesn’t seem Gordon will be out for an extended period of time, and if he is able to remain healthy, Gordon will likely join the Marlins for the first game of a four game series with St. Louis at Marlins Park. Miami, specifically Manager Don Mattingly, will have to determine how to use Gordon when he returns. The Marlins said they would “be creative,” though it seems Gordon will have the opportunity to start at second base. Since Gordon, as part of the PED use suspension, isn’t eligible to play in the post-season, the Marlins will also have to keep Derek Dietrich in the lineup. If the Marlins make the playoffs, Dietrich would likely be the starter at second base. Dietrich, 27, is taking advantage of the opportunity to start. Over 81 games, he’s batting .285/.375/.414 with four home runs and 29 RBIs.
Future is bright #Marlins outfielders as a group lead #MLB in AVG (.299), OBP (.371) & OPS (.865), rank 2nd in SLG (.493) & RBI (164) & are 3rd in HR (45).
final deal, the two pitchers from the padres for Cosart Naylor Luis Castillo RHP yea, I don't like it at all. way too much for mediocre talent. fuck off hoosier
no, but he's the best they got. I'd be fine with it if they were able to acquire an above average pitcher. Cashner and Rea are not really any better than what the fish already had. Feels like a trade to make a trade and claim they are trying. But what happens when Jose reaches 180 innings? Do they shut down the only consistently good starting pitcher they have and likely fall out of the playoffs, or do they keep throwing him out there and go for it edit: now carter capps is in the deal. WTF
