Just finished the Tomorrow War, really really liked it. Concept was cool, at times it felt like I was watching a video game. Some will nitpick the shit out of it but whatevs. My only beef is the run time. 2 hours and change is a long time. They could’ve trimmed some fat.
Nice to hear, the critics are not great but sometimes these fuckers look for too much out of a nice sci-fi action flick. I just want to be entertained
To be fair, Ive got some edibles on board. That being said there a couple scenes that are straight up bonkers
I usually prefer my science fictions after a few drop of thc oil myself, that’s part of the fun. If it’s going to make no sense I want to be able to connect with it …..
i thought it was ok. I was entertained but I have a pretty low bar. Feel like there was too much hand waving at the time travel aspects. There’s always problems with time travel but I don’t feel like they even really tried to explain the paradoxes, but it also clearly wasn’t that type of movie. And yeah maybe 20 min too long?
Great concept, not great execution. Creatures were awesome though. Feel like it would have been better if it was a more serious movie given the run time.
Got bored like 46 mins in and stopped watching. Felt like a movie extolling the virtues of preemptive wars. Also, if their research and shit was so important, why not just send all their data to the past so their scientists aren’t doing research under threat of constant attack?
ah didn’t make it to the end. Guessing the heating of the planet attracted them to the planet or something? edit: just saw that they were frozen in the ice. God this movie is trash
I said it the dedicated thread for the movie - but I liked it as a turn your brain off action movie. There's no point in over thinking all the obvious plot holes
I just hated how that random kid had some kind of PowerPoint on Korean/Chinese volcanoes, and an algorithm that showed what ice levels would be like in northern Russia in 2048, all queued up and ready to go for Chris Pratt when he asked his questions. It's such a dumb thing to hone in on after all the unbelievable shit in that movie, but I was like "Aw, C'MON!" when it happened.
I too enjoyed it after turning my brain off and partaking in the oils. The monster design was cool as hell.
