last couple of seasons i made a preview thread for every new episode of south park and it ended up being the thread for that particular episode. so ill just make an official SP thread like all the other shows on TMB. ill post previews of the upcoming episodes every monday when the previews are released on southparkstudios.com the new season starts wednesday.... Revolutionary New Product
Re: Official South Park Thread Crazy man takes three or four people. Operates on them ass to mouth style. Trains them and makes them preform tasks.
Re: Official South Park Thread http://tosh.comedycentral.com/video-clips/spoiler-alert---human-centipede daniel tosh gives a spoiler of the movie on his show. or you can watch the uncut version but its like 20 minutes long
Re: Official South Park Thread Has it been said why this set of episodes was delayed? Usually they start the second or third week of March.
Re: Official South Park Thread I haven't heard anything but I do know the length of season will still be the same. 7 episodes now and the other 7 later in the year
Re: Official South Park Thread With a show like south park that is based so much on current events I would rather they do the 7 and 6 breakdown then have to wait nine months for every new season.
Re: Official South Park Thread Nastiest fucking movie I've ever seen. I get nightmares thinking about it.
Re: Official South Park Thread i'm glad i have streaming netflix so i can watch classic episodes of south park
Re: Official South Park Thread Has anybody recognized kind of the 'evolution' of South Park? I go back and watch the old episodes now and they really aren't all that funny, just little kids cussing. The more current episodes actually are really relevant re: pop culture and politics, etc. It really is like it's just our generation was watching it and the creators have grown up with this generation and adjusted with it. Am I alone here?
Re: Official South Park Thread Nah, I'm with you son. Also, the dialogue was really choppy and drawn out in earlier episodes, now-a-days it actually sounds like the characters are having conversations. Maybe I'm over-analyzing south park?
Re: Official South Park Thread I'm not saying it's some deep, intellectual show with some profound meaning. I'm just saying that if you compare the first couple seasons with the last few, it really is like night and day. You probably wear undershirts.
Re: Official South Park Thread Shows evolve overtime. I agree with you though. I wish they would do more episodes with Towelie, I always laugh my ass off.
Re: Official South Park Thread SP definitely follows a story line more intensely now than they did in their earlier years.
Re: Official South Park Thread Eh, I think the opposite. I've actually enjoyed the last few seasons that have been ripped to shreds by most people. When I was in undergrad, we had a philosophy teacher that taught "The Philosophy of South Park." I never took the class, but he was my adviser so he let me borrow the book. I think it was a lot of grasping at straws, just trying to find something that wasn't really there (the book over-analyzed everything to the point that it was almost laughable). Would still be a pretty cool class to take as an 18-19 year old.
Re: Official South Park Thread That may be what I'm saying, the only humor in the earlier episodes was 4th-5th graders just cussing like sailors. There wasn't some clever punchline.
Re: Official South Park Thread Good argument. Refresh my memory, don't feel like looking it up. What was featured in seasons 6-9 and what did they have that the more recent ones don't? And also, what was funny about seasons 1-3 other than kids cussing? Like I said, when our generation was growing up we were in middle school and found that shit funny, which, imo, is what got us hooked.
Re: Official South Park Thread quality satire...not some shitty, shove down your throat shock garbage
Re: Official South Park Thread Last season was just ok imo. The multi episodes with Coon and friends sucked
Re: Official South Park Thread The Coon and friends trilogy was awful, never understood the love for it. I though the Inception episode (Insheeption?) was fucking hilarious, but most on here hated it. I will admit that while I've enjoyed the more recent seasons, the episodes are really hit and miss. Either hysterical or very 'meh'
Re: Official South Park Thread Eh, my movie/TV preference has never been too popular among my friends either. What do you consider their glory days? Very beginning? Middle seasons?
Re: Official South Park Thread Like some have said around 5-10 were da best. Now I watch it a new episode with high expectations and it usually falls short. Later, I may go back and re-watch a newer one and like it more than I did at first.
Re: Official South Park Thread You're just on a roll today aren't ya? Really flexing those internet tough guy muscles: You keep worrying about the satire of an animated tv show on cable television, and getting all angry at people that disagree with you. By all means though, continue to put forth this badass persona, it's mildly entertaining. I'm gonna continue to get high and enjoy some very simple humor that makes me laugh. You should prolly enjoy a smoke or two to ease your tensions, no need to go so upset big guy, internet doesn't have to be serious business.
Re: Official South Park Thread i voted on the 15 best episodes of all time on their website. they are putting together a best of dvd that the fans vote on and i voted for my personal top 15. and you're right, i would say 7 or 8 of my top 15 were from seasons 6-9.
Re: Official South Park Thread Hopefully this season they step it up. Coon and friends sucked, and I also liked the insheeption episode. They need more episodes like the city wall and mongolians.
Re: Official South Park Thread I watched about 15 episodes the last three nights at work. Holy shit I forgot how amazing this show is. The Special Olympics episode is about the hardest I have laughed in years.
Re: Official South Park Thread Are Trey and Matt both back to writing this season? I know one of them wasn't writing last season.
