Holy fuckIMG JIZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. you get it rook!!!!!! Back heel fucking assist for his first time on the stat sheet.
After the game in Frisco I'm glad we're fisting FCD. Wouldn't mind 5 but I'll settle for 4 and no injuries.
What do we do with Dom? 70th minute high energy sub? We know Vermes won't switch to a 4-4-2 and Nemeth is waaaaay too good with his back to the goal not to be our 9. I don't thnk Dom has the skills to play out wide. Seriously It's so easy, 4-4-2/4-2-2-2/4-2-3-1/whatever, put mustivar and Roger deep/wide for defense/pressure, Zues/benny central/forward for attacking/through balls with doms work rate and Nemeths deep dicking abilitys up front. That may be a stew going. I dunno, I don't get paid $4 million a year to set sportings line up.
Gat Dam Cal on the post game show. Miss that fam. I'm happy hes doing it at he loves doe with the FS1/euro post game show. Good on him.
@SportingKC: Jorge Alvial, who previously worked for @ChelseaFC as Head Scout of the Americas, has been named #SportingKC's new Director of Scouting.
So many chances but no one making runs. Also Rog has been pretty shitty tonight, touch and passes are off.
I'm 50/50 on it. Both sides have valid points. With Dom getting pulled from behind plus Frei leveling him that is way too much contact in the box. I thought Deric in Houston should of been carded when he plowed through Dom to get a ball. I also think keepers are given too much protection and leeway anyway. If he comes out to make a play on a 50/50 ball then he has to live with the results. Too often they run over anyone in their way to come off their line with no consequences but the second a player goes up to challenge them in a 50/50 scenario its a foul on the forward.
Will be in KC in late October, SKC is hosting the Galaxy. Any suggestions on best place to get tickets/things to do before/after the game?
Looks like a bad call to me. 50/50 collision. Could call a foul on either of them. Plus it looked like the GK was the only one to even touch th ball. Almost never see that type of foul call on the keeper.
I think the keeper should be far less protected. He already has all the advantages. The onus should be on him to avoid overt collisions. (I know that's not how it currently is.)
It should be called like every other situation is called. Which it is for the most part. Sometimes they get calls to protect them (which they probably should) but I don't see a ton of just blatant calls keepers get only because they're keepers. It happens but not to the level people like to say. If you jump into a GK who's trying to go up and play the ball it's a foul just like if you do it to a CB. I saw that play as a keeper, who has every right to the ball, going out to win it as another guy also was. He got there first and there was a collision. How that's the foul on him is beyond me
Think about it this way: there's a 50-50 ball between a defender and a forward. They're both racing to it. Forward gets there first and flicks it forward past the defender, then they collide. It's a foul on the defender every time. That's basically exactly what happened on that play
Except he's not a defender. He's the keeper, and he gets to use his hands. And he used his hand to punch Dwyer in the head.
Time for some Sunday night futball!!!! Nemeth is back from the euros. I'm expecting at least 2 goals and an assist.
Was at Bremen with Ozil and got overrated by playing alongside him. That being said, would be a solid pickup for an MLS side.
Reports coming out now that we're no longer pursuing Marin. These reports from Heinneman are starting to piss me off.
Holy shit if something's switched in Roger. Incredible half of him flying everywhere. Pressing high, tracking back to win key balls, being a neusance, kicking asses, etc
Howd the game play out? Im still at a wedding in fucking South Bend, Indiana. I've had to miss like 5 straight games and am ready to kill someone.
