Just finished. Typical shit we bitch about every week. Show sucks, but at least there was some killing.
Best line of the episode was when The Governor was complimenting Andrea's "speech" from last week. My wife and I both LOLed simultaneously. I feel awful for Carol. She had just taken the full 24 hours that every female character in a television series takes to get over the loss of a loved one before finding new love, and then it's like Axel was never there. So cruel.
seems like some of you liked the first season. i have to ask, why? aside from the first episode, it fucking sucked. the stupid vatos in the nursing home, the dumbass trip to the cdc. delaying carl blasting shane. just all around shitty season.
I wonder if the Ghost Lori shit is what got Mazzara canned. God that shit is awful. If it takes up too much more time over the last 6 episodes (basically if it ever happens ever again) I'm going to tell myself it is what got him fired.
Seriously... that was awful. For all he knows Daryl and Merle are with them and the rest of the group that did what he and others in Woodbury thought was impossible (clear and secure the prison) is all intact and not going crazy talking to dead whores either. So he kills one guy, sends in a van filled with walkers and laughs in a sinister fashion thinking he's had some great victory. No dude, you just broke even (each side had 1 death) against a one-legged man, a baby, an insane person, a 13-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl (I think that's how old Beth is supposed to be), a 40-year-old lesbian and Maggie. Also since Maggie came darting out of the prison with some guns I hope they return to find the baby eaten/gone.
Decided this ten minutes in. It wasn't like this was the worst start to an episode ever (outside of ghost wife, which was awful), but a culmination of how bad the show is. I'm done.
sharp shooting Governor, with one eye of course. also when did glen get a big ass truck??? it looks like it just came off the lot
You're oversimplifying to a point. They're not exactly going to be able to call a fencing company and have them come out and secure and reinforce to 35x15 foot fences. They had already talked earlier in the show about being afraid that with a big enough walker herd that the fence might not hold. Now they're going to have to fix that while fending off walkers. There's also a difference between clearing a prison when you're creating the plan and being attacked relatively out if no where. Probably more defending that this show deserves, but whatever.
Governor puts a bullet between Axel's eyes from 200 yards, then hits absolutely nothing else. 10 minutes of automatic fire, and only Axel's dead body and magic tower guy get hit. Governor also must've found unlimited ammo cheat (and just watched rambo) because he decides to one arm fire in the air for the rest of the episode. Nice work. Weirdly, I don't really mind crazy Rick yet. I imagine that PTSD might be a bitch. I reserve the right to change my mind on that within 30 seconds of next week's episode.
yea no shit, oh look at this giant ass dodge ram that im gonna rev and looks CLEAN AS FUCK although its been a year since the world fell fucking gayyy
This is like saying bc Katy perry hits no. 1 in iTunes that she is the best singer and no one is allowed to critique her
comic book people, two yes/no questions 1. was the zombie truck driver in armor in the comics? and 2. if so, without giving away said person's name, do we know who that was/is it significant?
I was going to try recap all the shit that that was shit from last night but it would honestly take too long.
Unless I'm forgetting something there was no zombie truck in the comics. Weak spoilers but spoilers nonetheless... Spoiler The first assault in the comic by the Governor was pretty weak as well but for entirely different reasons. You know, legitimate ones. He underestimated the group at the prison (which was very different than the one on the show at this point), lost more men than he wanted to and retreated to come back later with a different plan of attack.
This thread is hilarious. This is a completely fictional/fantasy show about a group of people trying to survive a zombie Apocalypse yet folks are pissed off that a character was shown shooting like a sniper at 200 yards.
Agreed. I mean, it's a show about a freaking zombie apocalypse, so people shouldn't laugh if people start flying on unicorns or create a time machine or if a group of super hot nymphomaniacs show up in bikinis. The show is about zombies, so nobody can validly point out any inconsistencies whatsoever!
Never said it was the biggest complaint. Purely a response to the multiple critics re: last night's episode.
My main complaint about this show is and has always been when they think I care about anything more than mind-numbing zombie-killing action. Having said that, I liked that episode just because the scene at the end was great.
