It has good suites if you're looking for apartment style. Used to be well priced, not sure if Hilton changed that.

It is more expensive now Hilton took over but still cheaper than every other suites.

If you have a group and want a big suite they are the way to go. Plus it's pretty new.

I decided on PH for our first night cause its cheaper. Anybody have any dinner recommendations? We're going to Strip House our first night cause its in the hotel. I'm trying to decide between Bradley Ogden, Mesa Grill and Old Homestead Steakhouse at Ceasars

Ogden is overlooked a bit but very good, although obviously if y'all prefer Southwestern, Mesa Grill is the choice.

I've heard hit or miss on Ogden's place, very farm based etc but I haven't gone in there yet due to the mixed reviews.

I don't know if you like Italian Nole, but the Rao's there in the back of Caesar's is really very good - one of the best values for dinner in Vegas imo.

That wouldn't surprise me; I've only been there once, but was pretty happy. I do think there are a few better alternatives - Nole, is there any particular rationale for your finalist list?

I hope my group doesn't care about fancy dinners, rather eat fast food or maybe 1 buffet and :rain: on everything else

you gotta go big for at least one meal, that's what we do

went to the restaurant in the eiffel tower last year, was fun

After looking at reviews Ogdens and Old Homestead is out the window. My rationale is to accommodate my gf's liking of food. she likes simple stuff and Its hard to get her to try something new.

Old Homestead in NYC is ridiculous. Went there for company holiday party last year.

But yea, definitely try to go for one good dinner. Preferably early in the trip when people still have money.

This is my plan. Gonna be there Thur-Sun and probably eat a good mean either Friday or Saturday. Other nights eat regular meals here and there and possibly take a cab over to that something Frog beer bar/restaurant by UNLV one night.

No. It all depends on the casino. If you're looking for really cheap tables on the strip, go to Casino Royale. Place is a mess, but really fun.

He's staying at Planet Hollywood this trip, I honestly don't even know what's close. Any places I should go check out just to say I saw it(besides the fountain show)

Does she like breakfast/deserts? You should look into Serendipity for a good lunch.

When you say steak, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, I can recommend the Foundation on top of Mandalay. Plus if you make a reservation there you can chill in that club for as long as you'd like afterwards.

On one of my recent trips a group of 6 of us went to Maggianos (sp?) and got the family size which is ordering something along the lines of 2 starters, 3 entrees and some other delicious stuff, and it was bottomless. We took our leftovers and gave them to one of the bums sitting on the walkways.

BTW to your dinner question, Hash House is a decent idea if your GF is pretty picky.

They have their menu online so you can validate my claim, but it's not that expensive and foods great.

hell no. I very rarely play a $10 table. you can find $5 tables anywhere during the day and always in the shittier casinos, and even cheaper downtown

The thing about most $5 tables you find is that they have a 4/3 payout on blackjack.

The moment you lose the 3/2 payout ratio for black jack the odds shift significantly in favor of the house.

During the day all casino's, even the nice ones, will have $10 tables. Just make sure you are getting the 3/2 payout where ever you play and you should be good to go.

Yep, there are always limos there for 40-60 depending on the day of the week. If you book ahead it's about the same price so I never bother booking ahead anymore.

Just my opinion of course, but Mesa Grill is horrible. I've given it two chances (it supposedly was good when it opened, garnering a michelin star, which it lost the following year) and it has been a complete disappointment.

Ogden's and Old Homestead are pretty basic but I would definitely pick them over Mesa Grill. Rao's is pretty good Italian, not as good as the one in NY and definitely less character.

most entertaining game by far. I probably play roulette seconds most and then blackjack. I know blackjack is technically supposed to be easier to win at, but I always get my ass kicked when I play.
