Saw some pictures on facebook of a couple tornadoes it spawned. going to be interesting to see if anything happens SW of salina with that cluster of storms moving into the watch area
It's still semi sunny in topeka, jumped up to 71 after it had been in the 60's all day. These things are moving slow as fuck and the storm tracks are out of control. Look at the movement on these
Same in Emporia. Got sunny around four and stayed that way. I like the storm movement of due East. May actually see some action rather than the ne movement they predicted
Could see a definite debris ball a few minutes ago on this storm just south of Fort Worth; just saw reports of power flashed and a large torando visible (between lightning and power flashes)...
Debris ball (last image, blue circular patterns just east and west of Rio Vista; possibly 2 tornadoes? Spotters reporting very large tornado
There are/were a lot of spotters very near the main circulation(s) of that beast. Not good, especially at night.
Great assemblage of links for the April 27, 2011 outbreak here: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/bmx/?n=event_04272011 An interesting "article" on the event: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...g-the-april-2011-tuscaloosa-tornado-disaster/
Decent bit of uncertainty this week. At the moment Saturday looks decent for Central TX into KS/NE; really far out, but will be interesting to watch develop.
On a flight right now from DFW to Phoenix, and there are storms literally all around us. We are flying zig zags around them and this plane is bumping all over the damn place. Love this time of year. Looks like tonight/tomorrow might get interesting for OK/TX
Day off today. Not really expecting anything too crazy but I'll pry go out investigate the local area. Too much rain have left the gravel roads pretty shitty so if I get stuck, send help.

It is May and there are severe storms in Oklahoma. That can only mean one thing. Storm chasing with Jim Gardner in The Bob Mills Chopper 9 http://www.news9.com/category/258217/weather-control-center
Nothing that I can see on radar. That storm in central OK is cycling. Storms around it are trying to pull some energy. It is going to produce another one soon.
Do not like Payne and Gardner bringing up May 3rd 99 so much even if it is just in reference to the path.
Ugh, Mike Morgan is so terrible. Constant speculation about the EF rating and even went so far as to proclaim as massive tornado on the ground...so much hype
