I believe it was 7 v. 3. And as others have said, only Howland Reed and Ned Stark made it out.

If I remember correctly is was 7 against 3. So all the Kingsguards faced two on ones plus Howland Reed was probably doing whatever he was doing which you have to wonder if he tipped the scales vs. Dayne,Gerold Hightower and Whent. But yeah that Kingsguard must have been the tits. Also trying to remember,I think Jaime Lannister referenced Arthur Danyes prowess at some point,everybody remembers that Ned did.

I think this sentence in that wiki is really important

Yeah that HAS to come back into play at some point.

 

Yeah Dayne was a badass

 

Hopefully, his sword will come back into play by the end of the series. Speaking of swords, I'm still pissed Tywin had Ice melted down.

 

It took me reading that about ten times to realize that Ned was offering the three Kingsguard a chance to live.

 

It was such a baller move for him to return Dawn back to Starfall.

 

Apparently, spring came.

 

I don't find the jokes about Ice the least bit funny.

I recently reread neds encounter with the kingsguard. Hope that makes it in the show at some point. Sounds like an awesome scene.
