+ a team that actually scores runs for him It was so annoying when Cueto would pitch and give up 2 runs and we would lose 2-0. Then the next night someone else would pitch for us and we would win 10-0.
they're pretty fun. Used to go to Thirsty Thursdays when drafts were only a dollar. Not sure if they still run that promotion or not... but I can't make it out there during the week anymore.
So we thinking lamb finnegan and bubba? I don't think any of those pieces are huge losses. I always liked lamb as he was my favorite of the 4 big lefty prospects we had back then. I know he's having a good year but I haven't looked deep into the stats to see if any things clicked for him. Finnegan unfortunately has turned into aaron crow or us, hopefully the Reds leave him down so he can turn into a starter. I'm pretty sure bubbas lasik was last offseason because people were talking him up to break out and he stunk again. Has the speed arm and D to be in the majors now but will the power develop and can he hit for average, who knows.
And to think we had Dusty fucking Coleman here instead of CC Spoiler I know he was getting full time at bats in AAA, still feels good to vent
does cuthbert have much versatility? That's the biggest reason I am ok with Colon is because he can play anywhere
Josh Vernier @JoshVernier610 2m2 minutes ago #Royals acquire Johnny Cueto and cash considerations for John Lamb, Brandon Finnegan and Cody Reed. The moves is official. LOVE the deal
Well duh, but considering the spot on the roster plays maybe 1 day a week, their defense + base running is a little more important.
Did not expect this kind of start again Kuechel. If we can hold on we'll finish the week 4-3 against the Pirates, Cards, and Astros, three really good teams.
Congrats Royals bros. Johnny was one of my favorite pitchers to ever put on the uniform for us. It's very depressing, but it's the way the game works. Times like these make it hard to be a baseball fan, but with the Reds in the tank and selling, I'm now team Royals for the playoffs.
After reading more about the prospects, I think this is an okay deal for Cincy as well.....assuming we can get some bats for Chapman/Leake/Byrd/etc.
Enjoy him, guys. He's the best Reds pitcher in my lifetime, and I hope he finally gets the ring he deserves.
I've been amped up all day about this trade. Can't focus on things that I need to get done, and I keep scouring the net to read reactions, watching MLB network, listening to post-game etc etc.
