i thought Robb was older than Loras but i most certainly could be wrong...could just be because of the way they were cast, Theon is older though if I remember the timeline
well if Robb and Jon are suppose to be 14, then a whole lot more people should be pissed off about how they look on the show
I always thought Robb was 16 and Theon is said to be 20 in book 2 as he was taken by Ned at 10 and has been with the Starks for another 10.
I think it actually bothered me the most that he wasn't huge at first, but then I figured that would be campy.
According to the Wiki of Ice and Fire: Robb was born in 283AL. Jon was born in 283AL. Loras was born in 282AL. Theon was born in 279AL.
Book three spoiler Spoiler Joffrey's wedding take place during the 'turn of the century' year 300, so the first three books are about 2 years. I think books 4&5 are 1-2 years, too.
Referring to Robb: AGOT 7: Catelyn II - He is fourteen. ACOK 56: Catelyn VII - He has just turned sixteen.
spoiler: an upcoming character in this season Spoiler Ygritte is pretty hot. Not what I expected for her character.
I could have done without her entirely. Spoiler I guess she provided Jon a cover when he flipped, so maybe she was necessary. I wish Jon wasn't such a bitch about fucking her.
The guy playing him was big as fuck but its literally impossible to find someone that big and that tall and them not just be disgustingly obese. What did martin say he is in the book? Like 7 feet tall and over 400 pounds but cut from stone?
This is the budgetary stuff that sucks. In a movie they could just use camera angles and effects to make a 6'4" guy look 7". Its like the targaryans not having lilac eyes because they didn't want to use contacts. In a movie they could've likely just colored the eyes in later with effects.
yeah i expected someone like that. the kid they cast did a great job with his personality but was way to frail and unattractive to be a lannister.
I recall them saying that about the contacts but digitally changing eye color shouldn't have that effect
I feel like that could end up looking fake. Obviously they've cut stuff because of the budget, such as both battles but I don't think a small digital change like that would have been a problem. I'm guessing they just chose not to do it.
Thats what I'm saying. Obviously they probably don't have an actor to fill that role so they would have had to digitally enhance it which probably would have looked dumb.
In Harry Potter a huge deal is made throughout the entire series that Harry has his mothers green eyes. In the enormously budgeted movies Dan Radcliffe wore colored contacts for one day and said they hurt so Harry ended up not having green eyes in all 8 films. Movie and film people in general just don't seem to care about small things like that while the book fans very much do
i'm a huge book fan and i couldn't care less about the targaryen eyes. their hair more than makes up for it imo.
Yea Spoilers for all books Spoiler The purple eyes don't even really matter until we get to young Griff/Aegon in book 5 as its the first tip that he's a Targ. Much less bothersome than the fact that the Baratheon's are shorties which also doesn't matter all that much either
Spoiler then we find out that in Essos purple eyes are common so it matters even less. Backing up your point.
thought some of you may enjoy this. It's an article about the challenges of adapting A Clash of Kings to a 10 hour season. Beware, book 2 and 3 spoilers ahead http://io9.com/5891455/can-game-of-thrones-season-two-live-up-to-season-one
Spoiler Agree. I read they did it because since Robb has no POV's and they needed story lines with him.
