I don't think there's anything official yet but the showrunners were looking at 7 episodes for season 7 and 6 for season 8. http://tvline.com/2016/04/15/game-of-thrones-final-seasons-7-8-shortened-fewer-episodes/ Since the plan from the beginning was always stated as 7 seasons I imagine they realized they needed a little more time so seasons 7 and 8 will basically be an extended single season split in two.
It's not official: http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/game-of-thrones-end-date-season-8-1201752746/ Edit: Dammit, didn't go to the new page.
I've read a few articles suggesting that they are doing shortened seasons for 7 and 8 because the showrunners want to maintain their $100 million per season budget and they want to put more money into each episode to make all the upcoming battles even more spectacular than previous ones.
I hope they go the Sherlock route and cast Cumberbatch, Freeman, Andrew Scott, and Lara Pulver (I'd like to see her tits, maybe wildling half-sister of Ygritte or something) They've already used Mark Gatiss (Mycroft) as an Iron Banker, so it's not entirely farfetched
about benjen Spoiler i feel like bran is gonna "prep" benjen to help him out beyond the wall while still in the past. when the episode ended, he was still in the courtyard scene. according to the books, no one knew why benjen decided to join the night's watch in the first place. maybe he'll tell him to look for another weirwood beyond the wall or build some kind of shelter from the Others.
The wildlings and children both worship the old gods so there are a lot of weirwoods beyond the wall. If you remember when Jon took his oath to join the watch, they went just beyond the wall so he could do it in front of a weirwood.
Not sure anyone can answer this. Are we sure he wanted to kill Bran? Or is Bran the key to the others getting through the wall.
starks gonna have a good season in the grand scheme of things but there is no way Rickon makes it out of Winterfell normal/alive with as long as it's gonna take them to go around building an army to invade. Ramsay has too much time on his hands
I find myself watching the entire introduction every week instead of just fast forwarding to the show.
I listen to this version no less than 12 times during every "making of" and then when I'm finally ready to begin watching I superimpose fucking game of thrones over the top of the actual intro and then watch from there. It's an absolutely sad, disgusting and incredibly gay practice.
And with that mark on his arm, watch bran be the reason the wall in the north falls when he tries to escape. Fucking bran.
Spoiler After seeing those little minxes display some hella skils, think King Doran and that big axe toting Marcellus Wallace lookin dude had no shot when they let the seasnakes and Ellaria Sand get in closs quarters. Marcellus needed to go all Tony Rocky Horror on the bad pussies And, chuck their asses off that high balcony Doran sits on all day. Doran fucked up giving those hoes a second chance. Second chances always come back to fuck you later in GoT. Therefore Marcellus needed to call up his hard hittin mother fuckers from Compton and get all medieval on their ass with a pipe wrench and a blow torch before any talk of second chances should even been broached. If they can't toe the line, they need to get gone or be gone. Unfortunately, they didn't play The Game of Thrones to win so they got turned into mince meat right quick.
Threw in a some Pulp Fiction references and quotes because Prince Doran's personal guard reminded of Marcellus Wallace from that movie. I wrote it at 5am with zero sleep and my drink on. That's what the fuck I was drink typing about.
