Rewatching some of the third season episodes of Shark Tank tonight. Great show, figured some people on here must watch it. Who is everyone's favorite shark and why? What's your favorite pitch on the show ever? How big a [redacted] is the guy who came in twice selling the wine cup business?
This product intrigued me the most. Guy took a terrible deal from Cuban unfortunately... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXsPJaNMNVI
Only seen a couple episodes but I liked the one with the guy selling the dust mask like nostril covers. The sharks were all "is there even a demand for this product" and dude got all and pulled out a contract for a multimillion dollar order from the UAE.
The guy with the wine business who refused to license the glass tear off is certainly one of the worst decisions I've ever seen on the show O'Leary was going to make him a multi-millionaire....
it was alright the fact they only did about 3 products and the storylines are what you would expect, it wasn't as interesting as i thought it'd be
Holy shit (pun intended?) Squatty Potty grossed over 12Mil in sales in just three months after airing on Shark Tank. I have one. Life changing.
I was going to ask if anyone has one. I saw this before it aired on shark tank and thought about getting one. So you would recommend?
Yeah. I got one as kind if a gag gift. Didn't use it for while then started. I love it. Everything just kind of falls out easier.
I have a squatty potty, its awesome. Dont use it a lot, only when I am a little stopped up or trying to take a quick shit before I go some place. But right when I sit down and prop my feet up I immediately shit! Or at least get out some good farts. It really does work.
I really liked "Beyond The Tank" this week. I was surprised how stupid the two guys that run "Plated" seem.
Incredibly dumb. I was laughing so hard at Kevin telling them how big of fuck ups they have been and them just being like "ok..." Also , far be it for me to question Cuban but his whole stance on the website seemed p rigid and dumb
I see his point. He and his techs say the website is slow because the owners are constantly making changes. The owners say it's slow because it's the web server's fault. One side is made up of a bunch of tech experts and the other is two owners who probably don't know a thing about the inner workings of a website. If Cuban is saying the website isn't the problem, the website isn't the problem.
Yeah, the Cuban portion was a bit uncomfortable. I think he seemed too set in his opinion as well...but, then again he didn't charge them a penny to have his guys fix their website and they did kill it financially...so, perhaps he was right to be a little confused/ticked. I don't understand how those Plated guys have had multiple trucks stolen and an entire fucking container. They just kind of laughed about it too.
Agree and the end of the day, you should just go w want Cuban wants. However I thought they had valid concerns about the functionality in terms of it's search limitations ect and making the UI better. It's not like they just wanted a new site just for the hell of it. Basically Cubans argument was "it's good enough". Which seemed weird because he never addressed their concerns w the site
The main problem is web development is essentially an endless pit of money. There's always gonna be a new feature, new design, etc. So if the website is functioning and not a giant eye sore why not put that money to better use? I think it was also a little bit more made for TV because if they brought up the search functionality I'm sure he'd agree and be ok with it, but to overhaul the whole thing is not smart and ends up just burning cash Joker style.
I cant understand Barbara being rich, as she seems retarded most of the time, and her reasoning for not investing in things is often as retarded. The grown ups are having adult conversations about profit and valuation, and Barb will interject with - let me tell you something, you came in here with a good idea, but I've seen a lot of people over 6' tall with good ideas that just don't pan out. I'm out. what???
but she's rich. She's made a ton of money, and she seems like she's terrible at business, or at least the decision-making part of business. That can't possibly be true, but it sure seems like that's the case. Her and Lori also always give the females extra consideration, or over-pay. Which is obviously sexist.
Lori is fake as hell. Barbara is just weird. Damon acts like a huge bitch a lot when it comes to people with clothing and he doesn't 100% agree with everything like he's some kind of fucking god because he's clothing homeless people these days with FUBU since nobody else wears it. I like Cuban, Kevin, and Robert the most even though Robert can be a little bit annoying sometimes. Kevin is the toughest to get a deal with but I respect a lot of his logic and reasonings.
Eh, I don't know if I'd go that far. I think she just knows when a deal is too big for her and tries to come up with some rationalization for bailing out which makes her seem unsophisticated. But maybe she is just dumb - she certainly wouldn't be the first dumb rich person.
She made her money in real estate. Just because she knows how to make money one way does not mean she is business savvy across the spectrum.
I like Barbara Sometimes her logic is somewhat confusing, but all of them are peculiar in their own way
O' Leary makes the show but I love how Cuban waits in the wings all the time and then swoops in for most of his deals. Pisses Robert off so bad.
Damon is just the most risk adverse. Maybe Kevin. Robert - you dangle something cool and shiny in front of him, boom. You got an investor n
Not gonna lie....I've done numerous google image searches trying to find somewhat revealing pictures of Lori. She seems to really stick to a pretty conservative outfit that feature a tiny bit of cleavage though.
Not gonna lie though, I'd be pissed if I made it on to Shark Tank with an idea I'd been working on for years, only to have Cuban pull his "You have to decide right now without listening to anyone else" schtick.
you have to have balls and say I'm going to listen to everyone else before deciding and try to get them in a bidding war. Cause he knows you have a good product or whatever and thats what he's trying to avoid
