Supported Everton because of Timmy Howard. Went to London and visited Stamford Bridge and now support Chelsea.
we have a Argentina club fan that lurks around here. Racing Club. http://www.the-mainboard.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=11832
Gooner here. I see a few knights on the soccer board so thats good. Represent the Charleston Battery..
Well they have 2 players I love. The country cares, they are just stupid. I'll root for US. I just would rather see Theo and Jack do well at this point. Not lie either are winning a major tourney any time soon.
It's 1a & 1b for me... Born in US, but grew up in London where I became a fan of Arsenal & 3 Lions. The rare times they play, I try to stay neutral. England's team is full of Englishmen that are proud to represent their country. Historically, the USMNT has never really been Americans... merely a roster of players that can represent USA because they might have had a great-grandfather that was born here & they aren't able to make the roster of the other nation they're eligible. Sadly, our lone "World Class" player chose Italy.
Truth. I didn't grow up in England but spent 4 months there when I was 18 and it was the best 4 months of my life. Pretty much feel the same way you do. I just care for some of my favorite players than a national team that really has no ambition to win. The US has ZERO ambition to compete. England suck but they have ambition. They are just stupid.
I just cant fathom rooting against your fucking country in any sport. Same faggots rooting for other countries probably root for USA in the Olympics, Hockey, and everything else we are a top power in.
Oh yeah since Roma is about to get Bojan and Jose Angel Spain can be my number #2 team now after Germany.
Calm down. I still root for team USA and unlike most people I'll go to most the games in my area and support them financially. I happen to have an affinity to England I like them a lil more. Good thing I don't have to choose too much. I've been to over 10 national team games which I'm sure is more than 99% of the population.
Pretty sure the hate isn't directed at me, as we've been through this before... & technically I'm a dual citizen, hence the conundrum.
I walked the player tunnel at the Allianz. Gave me a boner and reaffirmed my love for Bayern. I root for Republic of Ireland for European competitions, though, since that is the motherland for my family and we're not too far removed from there. If they were to ever play the US, though, I would view them as terrorists.
I take great joy in watching England fail, and not just their soccer team. By far the most overrated athletes on the planet (with exceptions), mostly in thanks to the shitty English media and perception that if the EPL is the #1 league in the world, then England is certainly an elite national team up there with Brazil, Spain, Germany, etc.
Les Diables Rouges (Red Devils) born in the US but dual citizen of Belgium watched the Belgians since I was 7:)
