Just because of politics? I really think Chan needs to change the Mods on this site. The other day Aero go banned over some bullshit but it is what it is I guess.
I think we need to re-implement the self policing. So we can get the Farva's out of here. The only problem is when self policing was in it's prime, you had a lot of uncalled for attacks on people(and by attacks i mean posting personal info/pics)
I don't think we need that. I just think some Mod's still act like kids. If you are going to run a serious site like Chan would like this to be then you can have Mod's who are going to ban people just because they have opinions that differ from yours
i agree with pinnacle and its not that the opinions were different, i think its just because some of the trolling thats become so rampant on the board is getting almost unbearable. and people post/act however they want because they know nobody on the board is going to post their pics/number or nobody is gonna ban them either. if someone kept trolling the soccer board i bet alot of you guys opinions would change. i dont know man, i honestly feel like the board has gone downhill recently. alot of it might stem from the april crash, and some of it might stem from other stuff. i dont really know how to fix it either.
There isn't a way to fix it. It's one of those things you can't go back from. Shit has happened and there are too many terrible posters here.
its not just posting, its the design of the site as well. it still hasnt been fixed since the crash. the user cp images are still broken. there is no front page working. i think we need to go back to the portal and funnel everything we have into tmb, like when we first launched. i dont know if that will help stuff or not, but it will at least make it look a little better. i dont know if the mods being a little more liberal on bannings (like 24 hrs) will help. i dont know what to do really at this point. gfa has been mia for weeks. chans is really starting to kick ass at his job and spend alot more time there. the design aspect is really starting to lack. sucks pretty bad. i dont know what we can do, but i hope something happens soon.
The site took a big hit once 2.0 came out and then the crash. As far as that other shit goes I think people are mad because there is no consistency. Only reason someone should get banned is because they post personal info on a board member other then that shit is free game. Also the fact that its off season and people are bored and have nothing to do or talk about really. IMO Chan needs to set the law. And make sure his MOD's enforce it. The MOD's shouldn't decide what the laws are and do as they please. As far as all the trolls well they are not effective if you don't feed them.
Lots of people love this site. I agree going back to 1.0 is the best option and fixing all the issue that still linger need to be addressed. If Chan is to busy for the site, and its understandable why he would be, then he should find people who are willing to invest time and money to take it to the next level. I know I have asked multiple times along with others to help chan out with money and direction of site. Maybe its time he looks about getting guys to help him.
Yeah man I think atleast 80% of the user's on this site hate 2.0 It was a good idea but it was not the time to take this site to that level. Getting back to 1.0, getting a front page, fixing the glitches on the site all need to be addressed. tbqh this site feels like the people who are running don't care anymore.
yeah i agree, i know with myself i dont have a job at this point and am just kind of waiting for school to start in the fall, so i have tons of free time. but i dont know the ftp address or where alot of the admin panels are, chan is the only one that knows that. esp after the last few days, i think its pretty apparent something needs to change. we just need to talk in chatzy and figure out what we need to do, then execute it.
i know i care, i care a shit load. chan has been super busy with real world job stuff lately, and him and gfa are really the only ones that know about backend/design stuff. so with gfa pretty much mia and chan having to stay at work until like midnight some nights really hurts any progress we can make. that plus the offseason and people getting pissed at shit posting, leads to where we are now. i have confidence we can climb out of the hole though. we just had a really good month, 257k posts. so we arent lost.

May I recommend you bring back post counts. Its something that may help with trolls. Guys are changing there names all the time its hard to keep up with who is who. Post counts help. Anyways I have faith in you to get shit right. Going to bed
post counts would help for sure with the trolls the problem then is the regulars who shit post all over the place and troll over and over and over again people like that are the real problem. they know nothing can stop them from being faggots. admins really can't do shit except in extreme cases

both of yall need to be vocal in the covert ops thread then. Convincing chan is the only way something will happen. also, my new rules and stuff is absolutely not set in stone, they're just a starting point. But I really feel we need to keep them pretty simple.
