Can't find any spreadsheets, I believe those are sent to you in the company report. They do give you all of the numbers you need though. Everyone can send in a proposal, here's what that option looks like: Submit a Draft Proposal Individual members can submit Draft Proposals for a membership decision on the business of the Society. A Draft Proposal will be accepted if it complies with the Procedure for Instigating a Vote of the Membership and the Voting Committee Operating Procedures. The VC will discuss the Draft Proposal with the proponents to ensure that it complies with the procedures. Note that Draft Proposals, Proposals and Motions shall not be in the form of a question. They shall make a clear statement regarding an idea or suggested action for MyFC or EUFC to embark upon. The VC will provide the proponent with a full explanation if the Draft Proposal is rejected. Upon acceptance, the proposal will be published as a formal Proposal for seconding in accordance with the procedures. From Proposal to Motion In order for a Proposal to be put to the members as a Motion for voting it must be seconded by 0.5% of the total membership within 7 days - currently around 50 members. Subsequent to sufficient seconding, the proponent and VC will agree on the final wording of the Proposal, and the VC will provide a vote text and voting options that are clear, concise, and balanced. Upon release, the Proposal, vote text and vote options form a Motion for a vote of the membership.
isnt 50/50 like the high school auction thing where you buy tickets for 10 bucks and the winner splits half the pool? say 100 people buy tickets for $10... pool is $1000, winner gets $500 and i guess the club gets $500 here, too.
They have 31 different multi-game ticket packages. Seems like quite a lot of options for such a small stadium.
Too much private information once you buy in there. Come on, buy in and be an owner with me. It's 22 bucks.
want to split a membership then? and if you start up a new team how do you get in a league? do you have to start in those regional leagues like isthmatian and kent or can you just start in conference?
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Arn4yhI4sBEUdEZsc0FfcS1SNXVTUTYtS0lNN3JHQmc&hl=en#gid=0 For the life of me I can't figure out how they are paying 310k a month in player salaries for that level. Their salaries are higher than MLS.
must be pounds. From the forum: The league we are going to is a part-time league and doing a bit of discreet research there are clubs rumoured to be top end 7-10k a week top end type clubs but there will also be clubs with budgets around 3.5k a week . 5-6 k a week with an excellent manager and you would hope to be competing at the top half of the league /Play off. Something is really fishy about their financials.
I am watching their situation. It just happened within the last month so I want to see how things shake out.
Agreed. We can still email them to let them know there could be interest if the price is right, and they're looking for owners...
They have money man right now. I want to wait till the money man is ready to bail out. The supporters do not have enough money to run it on their own.
British are killing me with budget and forecast. I don't know what the hell the difference is. But basically it looks like a BSN/BSS side is about 500 pounds a year in expenses. I know I ran a $1.1 mill in ticket revenue with 2k in attendance so I think break even or small profit is very doable if you have a good stadium deal.
I haven't seen a post yet that indicates enough organization here to do so much as even inquire into clubs.
You are correct. Still need to develop a watch list and now that we have access to the financial structure of a club at the level that we are interested in; it is a start.
I think we're trying to find out how much money would have to be raised before we start constructing anything certain. But that is just my guess....
How much more would it be to start our own club? Not serious about this, but I'd be curious into the start-up financials as well.
That's what I thought. I've seen several posts talking about making initial moves and it just seemed kind of a "cart before the horse" thing. I will continue to follow this group's development with a high amount of interest.
Yeah I am researching clubs as targets and looking at past takeovers. It is interesting to see how almost everyone of them in the lower levels have changed the name.
Maybe we should create a board with an individual thread for each team we might want to look into and could add any and all info on them that we have to have a database of info.
I'm stuck on the Ebbsfleet United idea. It will cost 100 of us, 22 bucks. Then the takeover begins. That's the easiest financial way to do it. Also, a system is already in place. Anything else is just water cooler talk IMO.
i will probably buy into this at some point too i just love the idea of "owning an english soccer team" so much
I'm going to England to catch some Everton matches this winter...fully planning on stopping by and catching one with Ebbsfleet United. I mean, it's even worth it to drop 22 bucks for extra accounts if you ask me. You essentially start having power at 100 votes...that's $2200 a quarter between all of us. That's not hard to do at all.
im trying to roll up to manchester this winter, but im afraid northfleet may be too far away for me to try and gather the full ebbsfleet united experience will certainly try and obtain some sort of gear once i buy in though
When are you planning on heading to Manchester? I'm going to fly into London (usually cheaper) and then take the train to Liverpool and other matches for Everton. Flying into London makes it possible to catch the team we are taking over...or well, the team I've made my little dream hobby at least.
