After two years as a Sunderland prospect, I am ready to be patched over to full membership. Cotton500
So Sakho seems to be the most bandied about name as far as transfers go. I am still getting to used to all of this, but how does he fit next to Dafoe?
I've often wondered this, do you think that if Sunderland was relegated in 2012-13 and allowed to do a season of rebuilding in the championship instead of the crazy transfer strategy that occurred with changing managers every season in order to survive, they would be healthier today? It just seems like a listless club that has poured tons of money into short term options
Hypothetically yes. But there's also a good chance we'd have turned to short term options in the Championship. Blackburn, Bolton, Wolves have all had spells in League One and we'd definitely not be above it.
Had no idea how rough of a go y’all had of it until a few days ago Gonna pull the classic double relegation
IIRC he rejected a new deal and only has one year on his contract so we decided to sell. He'd have definitely played.
Season 1 wasn't as good as season 2 but still very watchable. Season 2 also doesn't seem as sad the whole way but well ends up being worse.
While the Ibiza rave intro music scene made him look like a buffoon, I don't get the hate that Charlie Methven seems to be getting on twitter. Seems to me that he was trying to put some pragmatism into a foolish organization.
Granted I don’t know the full depth of it, but it sure seemed like Donald and Charlie were doing well considering the situation. Think late in season 2 they said they got the club operating at a break even?
Asking them to come up with creative ideas and the marketing staff was like nah the whole club needs a culture change
