3 big points with Bournemouth and Villa upcoming. Man if we can take 9/9 here we are going to be safe for another year.
It would have been an ideal game to get Montero in for Routledge. Not getting the possession up the middle we're used to either.
Gonna need to do something, now. You'll have some chances to equalize but Bournemouth look pretty dangerous going forward.
what a finish by Gylfi! can't believe they let that ball roll through the defense, nicely done by Gomis and Barrow
I have no idea whose wife Montero fucked but they need to get over it. Imagine that game with a copy of Barrow down the left side. It's frustrating knowing that we're deliberately limiting our ability to create chances.
As an Everton fan, I can tell you this thread title is wrong. Each game has to have at least 3 goals scored in them
Gomis is getting a start today as is Kingsley again. Anything less than 3 points is a complete failure today.
No Taylor or Montero = nothing on the left side offensively and being forced to deeper on that side defensively. We're playing a game with a center forward and a right wing and no left wing. I don't get it.
Britton for Ki is dumb. Bring him on for Cork if you want him in the game. We should have taken Ki or Fer out for Montero. Replacing a somewhat attacking midfielder for a defensive midfielder is not what I would have done following that first half. We had possession problems in midfield that Britton should help with, but that isn't going to help the attack.
Also Mo Barrows car may have been stoned by Gambian fans due to his performance during the break. However it may be a stupid April Fools thing. I can't tell.
Yeah I enjoy us much more when we have width. However I don't disagree with Guidolin when he says that Montero needed to improve defensively. He made a great play late as well.
It's also difficult to figure out what position Ayew should play in a 4-2-3-1. He's too short to be the guy up top, he refuses to stay out wide, and Gylfi's been too good of late to keep him out of the game. The diamond is what works best for him.
Have had to watch what I can at work but of course it's Gylfi that gets us the goal. If we can get these 3 points it'll be huge. I really want the win.
Gylfi and Montero work together well. I wish Ayew would stay wide. If he doesn't, we might be better off with Barrow out there. Also, first time beating Chelsea, hitting 40 points, and announcing Steve Kaplan may be buying the team all make for a busy day.
Yeah I get that but how long could we have expected the same set up to work after a decade? Huw brought that up before and it make sense. I'm just happy that Huw and Dineen as well as the trust are part of the plans. As are the stadium ownership, stadium expansion to 32K, and a bit of cash splashed for summer transfers and recruitment.
The Chelsea match may have been the first time I noticed the sun being out when watching Swansea at home.
I hope you guys win the Champions League and have to pay us even more. Also, we'll gladly take him back this summer
