yeah guess youre right, after Fernandez and Williams you got Amat and thats it from off the top of my head.
We've officially entered the goofy season when you start seeing rumors of Crystal Palace buying Williams.
Yep Ash definitely wants to waste his time at Palace after being in Swansea since 2008. Also Koeman says Monk should have won manager of the year. I tend to agree.
Portuguese media reporting we have signed Eder from Sporting Braga. Who knows though at this point. Rory Donnelly joined Gilligham
Believe we have been out him for a while due to the price tag and rolling with Bafe Gomis as our main guy.
Gotcha. few weeks ago papers said he was swansea bound. now newcastle getting linked again. I think the price is so big because Partizan gets a sell on
Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs: Swansea City face big task next season By South Wales Evening Post | Posted: June 30, 2015 By Gareth Vincent Manchester United coach Ryan Giggs says Swansea City may face a tough task next season. Spoiler RYAN Giggs has warned Swansea City that there may be tough times ahead as they bid to repeat the heroics of last season. And the last year's double defeat to Garry Monk's side. Giggs has been impressed by the strides Swansea have made under their former skipper. But United's assistant boss reckons Swansea may struggle to progress again in 2015-16. "It was a great season for Swansea, especially when you consider it was Garry Monk's first full year in charge," Giggs told the Evening Post. "Not only that, but Swansea played exciting football and they are now really a well-established Premier League team — they are capable of beating anyone. "It's early days in Garry's career, even he would say that. "But he has had a really successful season and he will now look to build on that. "That's always the challenge when you have had a good season — you have got to do it again and again. "Teams will be more wary of Swansea now and realise that they showed a lot of quality last season. "With the players they have got and the players they are bringing into strengthen, Swansea will be looking to better what they did last season — but that will be hard." Serial-winner Giggs knows all about delivering success after success. And he added: "It's not easy. Swansea have to try to have another season like they have just had. "It is hard to go again, but they have a good blend of experience and young players. "They also have some real quality and some quality in depth, and they have a manager who has hunger and desire and wants to be the best that he can." Swansea stunned Giggs's United side on the opening day of last season, when Ki Sung-Yueng and Gylfi Sigurdsson netted at Old Trafford. And Monk's men upset the odds again when goals from Ki and Bafetimbi Gomis saw them win the return fixture in February. "Swansea deserved to win in the first game — they were definitely the better team," Giggs said. "In the second game we were the better team first half but then second half they deserved to win it. "We will be looking to do better next season. We would like to beat them of course."

So those snoozebox inflatable hotels are interesting but really awesome. I wish I had one for friends.
The next season's ratings should get an early boost as the opening game at Chelsea has been moved to the 12:30 spot. It might even be on NBC instead of NBCSN
Away shirt ordered so far. Grabbed a t shirt and some shorts as well. Will probably grab the home shirt in a few months.
Swans boss Monk signs new contract PUBLISHED 09:00 10th July 2015 Spoiler . . . Garry agrees new three-year deal It’s deserved reward for the fantastic season we’ve just had and all Garry’s hard work, commitment and loyalty to our football club over many years." Huw Jenkins Swansea City is pleased to announce that manager Garry Monk has signed a new three-year contract with the club. Monk, who had two years left on his original deal, has penned a new contract which will see him continue to lead the Swans until the summer of 2018. The 36-year-old – named August’s manager of the month - led the Swans to their highest finish of eighth in the Barclays Premier League last season, along with setting a new club points record of 56. Monk is now preparing his team for the 2015-16 campaign, with the squad set to fly to Germany on Sunday for a week-long training camp which includes fixtures against Borussia Monchengladbach and 1860 Munich. Swans Chairman Huw Jenkins expressed the club’s delight after tying down Monk’s future. “As a club we are pleased to agree the new contract with Garry,” he said. “It’s deserved reward for the fantastic season we’ve just had and all Garry’s hard work, commitment and loyalty to our football club over many years. “We also feel it is vital to have stability within our football club, especially with Garry going into such a big season where the reward for remaining within the Barclays Premier League is going to be greater than ever in terms of finance and global exposure.” image: http://www.swanseacity.net/cms_images/july-3-monk58-2536140.jpg Monk’s service to the Swans is now in its 11th year, with the former club captain making his debut in a 2-0 defeat against Northampton at the Vetch on August 7, 2004. He played a key role in helping the Swans earn promotions in League Two and League One before making a crucial block in the Championship Play-Off final win over Reading at Wembley. Monk also captained the Swans to their first ever victory in the Barclays Premier League, and has lifted both the Football League Trophy and Capital One Cup during his time with the club. After 270 appearances and seven goals for the Swans, Monk called time on his career after being offered the chance to take over the club following Michael Laudrup’s exit in February 2014. A 3-0 derby victory over Cardiff got Monk’s reign off to the perfect start, with the Swans going on to finish 12th in the top tier. And in his first full season in charge, Monk led the Swans to a record-breaking campaign which included memorable league doubles over Arsenal and Manchester United.
First friendly thus Wednesday against Monchengladbach. Hoping and wishing a German channel will have this streaming somewhere but not holding my breath. Planet Swans says there is an internet stream but idk
Leon didnt travel with the team to the Pre Season German friendlies. Guess that's a sign he is certainly gone this year. Hope he comes to the US and MLS. Would be a good way to go out and enjoy himself for a few years. Oliver McBurnie has been signed from Bradford to start playing with the Under-21s. Had 5 goals in 14 appearances on loan at Chester last season.
FYI Will be great if this works http://www.laola1.tv/en-int/live/borussia-monchengladbach-swansea-city-afc/354988.html
Swansea vs Borussia Monchengladbach SWANS: Fabianski, Naughton, Bartley, Williams (capt), Tabanou, Fulton, Sigurdsson, Ki, Dyer, Ayew, Gomis. #SwansInGermany SUBS: Nordfeldt, Rangel, Fernandez, Kingsley, Taylor, Cork, Grimes, Shelvey, Routledge, Emnes, Eder. #SwansInGermany
Grimes equalized to get the draw. Decent performance but a lot to work on especially what I could tell to be communication and just staying in the shape that Monk wants.
I didn't get to watch it but I would expect some defensive lapses with Bartley and Fulton in there (Dyer too for that matter)
Stream was clear but a little choppy so hard to get everything but Dyer made some okay runs. Bartley got a yellow being too aggressive and stupid really.
It looks like Montero didn't get any playing time yesterday. It will be interesting to see if that changes in the next friendly.
He was not even listed as a sub. I am hoping that due to him being a little further along than some due to Copa America and getting a little break.
My order has arrived lads. Don't worry I'm not a full kit wanker but I didn't want White shorts as I'd get them dirty. Wanted the Marine color but they weren't in at the time. I do really like the away shirt now. Ready to order the home shirt but I'm gonna hold off a little bit. Kits running a bit larger this year, I can tell a difference. They also feel much better.
The size changes are really the only down side to ordering on line. If you're in-between sizes, it can get a little tricky
Also 2-1 win in the friendly agaisnt 1860 Munich. Felt like we showed good spurts but really could have played better. The second grouping coming in at the 60th minute seemed to create many more chances. No Montero again?
Hope that to be the case since we keep hearing no main players are leaving. I really want to see Ayew on the left side with Montero on the right.
Interesting article http://www.theguardian.com/football...arry-monk-pre-season-fitness?CMP=share_btn_tw
Yeah read it earlier today on TJA. Pretty good insight of pre season. So much definitely goes into it and analytics.
Fuck it, grabbing that home shirt tonight. Takes me about 10 days to get here so should have it about the beginning of the season. With the away I just got a plain shirt, so I'm debating now on who to grab. Stuck between Gylfi, Ayew, or Jonjo.
Surprised we are still being linked to strikers with Gomis looking more like he is certainly staying. Guess just transfer window talk.
It's always been like 3-4 business days for me. I've been impressed with the delivery speed. Most likely just normal window gossip, but the tracks players they want across multiple seasons and so you might be hearing about interest this window when they're really just trying to line something up for next summer.
So FactsRule let's discuss the first starting 11 of the season and your thoughts. My biggest question marks are who of Shelvey/Gylfi/Ki start, as all three wont. My heart tells me Ki plays next to Cork with Gylfi in the Attacking role and Shelvey comes on as a super sub. Then you have the wings with Ayew/Montero/Routs/Dyer. I most want to see Ayew/Montero but wouldn't be shocked to see Ayew/Routledge to start the year. Lastly at left back, do we roll with Taylor or Tabanou. I am fairly confident for the first few matches we will play both but Taylor will start the season there.
Just wanted to come in here and say that H/T proudly wore his Swansea away in a sea of blue on saturday in Charlotte
I think you may see the diamond to start with Ayew and Bafé up top. Gylfi, Ki, Shelvey, Cork in the middle with Taylor, Williams, Fernandez, and Naughton across the back. Neils almost certainly starts the season as the #1 LB. If we go 4-2-3-1, I think Shelvey comes out and Routledge comes in.
You're damn right. So many times I walked by someone and then instantly heard, holy shit that was a Swansea shirt man. Lol
I could handle that, as it gets the best players we have in the midfield on the pitch at once. A few players have hinted at formation changes in preseason and I haven't caught anything on the streams really. Curious to see if you're right and its just more playing out of the diamond like the second half of last year.
