There was some good play in the middle of the field but maybe only 1 real chance created. Routledge is not doing anything. We need Montero back in there. There was also a penalty that should have been called in the last 2 minutes to tie it up but of course it wasn't called.
Saw that on the supporters group on Facebook. Made me laugh, part of me wishes there was some truth to some of it.
Hello yes, its officially technically match day....sort of. I have a feeling Montero will be on against Spurs. Hope its the same Montero from August.
He isn't even on the bench, lolwut? Unless he is injured that is perpexing, he always stood out when I saw him playing for you.
Yeah I just woke up and looked at the lineup and it was a very wtf moment. I also am not a fan of Rangel over Naughton like the manager has been keen of. Also Britton, Ki and Cork in midfield at the same time so obviously we are going with the sit back and pray for an away draw.
He's been doing so much good work for this team that has no offensive mindset. It's nice to see him get a goal.
Solid half, however there is no doubt in my mind we will concede at least one in the second half. We have got to find another goal somewhere. We have also got to figure out a way to take some pressure off Fab and hold possession for longer than 30 seconds.
Britts is getting abused right now. He was key in creating that goal, but otherwise it has not been great
Well you knew it was coming. Since when can't a Swansea side be able to pass out of the back, hold possession or not be able to string along more than three passes. Now we hope to hold on for a point.
Inevitable. Not having Montero in there has let Walker to just set up camp deep in Swansea territory.
Eh. We were expected to lose and I didn't have much hope coming into today but damn if this isn't somewhat disappointing. Certainly doesn't get any easier Wednesday just got to get to the Norwich, Bournemouth, Villa stretch and hope we get at worst 7/9 points but realistically need 9/9.
Damn. Still watching the match but had it spoilered. Disappointing to be up in the 70th minute and not get a point, then have the short turnaround to Arsenal.
Pretty weird lineup against a big side. Obvious to me that we are preparing for Saturday which is probably the right call. Kingsley gets his pl debut. Gomis is back in the starting 11. Amat and Naughton also starting.
1-1 at the half? I'll take it. This lineup looks bad. Ki doesn't know what to do without Gylfi in there. Bafe thinks passing the ball is against the rules.
I will give credit to Kingsley who has honestly played well. Fer looks good in midfield ID like to see him get more play. We're are in a fortunate position and could get something here if the back line and Cork/Ki can play well.
Decent 11 to start. Me personally would have rather seen Fer get a start but understand Cork and Britton starting in a diamond or a 4-2-3-1. Montero made the team but doubt he will get any playtime at this point
Yeah. That was really sloppy. Norwich was getting to all the loose balls it seemed. Routledge had a lot of bad giveaways. Rangel was probably our best player that half. It would have been nice to get that penalty at the end of the half, but we really didn't deserve to be up at the half the way we've played. I would really like to see Montero on for Routledge.
Paloschi is good at the hold up play that it feels like this game is going to require. I don't know. Maybe he's hurt.
I was thinking he had to have hurt something as well. Otherwise I think the pressure of the day has gotten to Curtis and he's desperately trying to make something happen.
Fer has got to get more time on the pitch. Britton played brave for us in December and January but he hasn't been in form since, it's time he becomes a sub.
Or before we try to sit back and hold on with a defensive substitution, only to have them grab a late equalizer.
