Great news would be Prince producing at the level he's being paid at. This is potentially a silver lining inside a dumpster fire, and it may not even be that.
They want Profar to play everyday, and if thats the case Gallo wouldn't. And he still needs to work on cutting down on his K rate
yeah I'm team trade Odor, he's a really good player but doesn't this seem like his ceiling? profar has a much higher one at the same position imo, and can also play SS if gallo figures it out, why would you not want that? hell i'll take him over prince this very second
I just don't know if Odor is ever going to have an OBP much higher than .300 His approach at the plate doesn't seem to be improving.
I mean he is 22 and has a .935 OPS at AAA. He strikes out too much but I think its a little early to write him off. I don't want another Chris Davis situation going down here. Plus Profar has no position here long term (assuming we keep Odor), and wants to play SS next year.
Gallo's swing is like Swiss cheese it has so many holes in it. Apparently Davis was the same way but how are you supposed to just project Gallo gets it fixed the way Davis eventually did (with the help of a shit ton of peds, not that there's anything wrong with that).
We need to get a starting pitcher, if not for this year, then for next year. I want Moore or Archer (Archer will probably cost too much, but it would be awesome)
I'm in Gallo, profar, Tate...take them. Give me sale (If Tate is still desirable for other teams, I would assume he still has decent value)
That's probably smarter But we are going to have to deal one of Odor and Profar in the offseason if that happens. Which may not be a bad idea, since profar is now an everyday player for the rest of the season
His is even better He's only owed like 20 mil over the next 4 years. Might be the best contract in baseball
You definitely have the guys to get a Sale deal done but its gonna hurt. I also don't think that Gallo is nearly enough to get Quintana.
team sucks i'm not sure that i like this SATURDAY, 3:06pm: Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara is on Chicago’s wish list if it swings a deal with Texas involving Sale, reports Sullivan (Twitter link).
SATURDAY, 7:52pm: The Rangers are currently unwilling to trade Mazara for Sale, but they’re open to dealing Gallo, Profar and some of their pitching prospects, per Sullivan.
