Man Dyson got fucked with Moreland dropping that shit. This team. Everything flies in the face of reason for our playoff run
Jared Sandler ✔@SandlerJ Colby Lewis threw 41 pitches bullpen session today. Next step is for him to throw live BP Friday at TB. #Rangers
i know you're caught up in the moment but this isn't even remotely true lol i guess you forgot the mark texeira trade and the josh hamilton trades lucroy has a long fucking ways to be as value as those trades. like a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong ways lucroy is great though
The prize of the Tex trade didn't even come to fruition. It was still a great trade but I don't feel the "awesomeness" of it has held up over time.
wat look at the combined WAR of feliz, harrison, and elvis with the rangers. lucroy will never amass that, ever.
Ok. How about Lucroy is the best trade for a big leaguer that Daniels has ever made. Maybe 1B with the cliff Lee trade being 1a
Feliz, Harrison, Elvis, Salty combined 40.4 WAR with their time with the Rangers. Tex has been 30.4 away from Texas
He would have never re-signed. He had like a year and a half left. You compare them specifically to that year and a half he had left on his contract.
He is a great player and I told you guys for months that he was the guy for you to get. Hopefully Lucroy and the Rangers can stop the cubs from winning the world series.
The Cliff Lee trade got us to the World Series and the best player we gave up was Justin Smoak I love Lucroy, but lets not start sucking each others dicks yet
He pitched 24 innings in the ALCS and ALDS and gave up 2 runs. Thats 8 innings per game. 2 runs total. But sure, thats less valuable than what lucroy has done in 2 weeks with a 6.5 game lead.
Don't get all butt hurt because i posted stats. You're right Nelly Cruz had zero to do with our run in the playoffs.
You have the worst fucking sports arguments. Cliff Lee won 2 games for us in a 5 game series in the ALDS and pitched absolute gems. We gave up basically nothing to get him in hindsight. Lucroy has been great for us in 2 weeks in August, and we have no idea how good the players we gave up for him will be. Saying that trade is better than the Lee trade at this point is extremely premature.
As good. Saying that trade is AS GOOD as the Lee trade is premature If Brinson becomes a perennial All-Star (which is possible) this trade might not look as good. Lucroy is great and has been carrying the team along with Beltran, Beltre, Hamels and Yu. I love the trade. But its early
I also find it very convenient you want to tout Lee's postseason success yet leave out the World Series woes.
Well without him we very likely lose in the first round and don't make the world series that year. He had 3 gems, an OK start and a bad outing in the playoffs. Not bad, for a player we gave up Justin Smoak and Blake Beaven for.
Dude, Matt Harrison, Elvis, and Feliz were so much more valuable than 2 weeks of Lucroy. Hamilton is one of the greatest rangers ever that we gave up virtually nothing for. Lucroy is cool but this argument is just weird and I don't know why it's happening.
I thought we gave up Volquez for Hamilton straight up? We obviously got the better end of the deal but hasn't Volquez had a decent career? Actually asking.
So what are everyone's expectations for the season now? I just feel really uneasy about our 3rd starter and our closer situation.
Like I said, we got the better end of the deal, but for what the trade was based on at the time I'd say Volquez panned out.
hopefully Colby comes back healthy and as good as he was earlier this season. I've given up hope on Holland this season. If we have Yu, Cole, Cobra clicking come playoffs we should be really tough to beat. That being said, we have to make the playoffs first.
