wasn't his man on the N'Zonzi goal and like I said how do you blame Lucas for sakho shitting the bed on that Adam goal?
Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC · 2m2 minutes ago The last time Liverpool conceded six+ goals in a top flight game was in 1963, 7-2 against Spurs (via Opta) #LFC
@briankettle: Time someone tore @John_W_Henry away from the baseball and told him he needs to find #LFC a proper CEO, a manager and a big pile of money
@lovefutebol: Steven Gerrard sees out his final game in #lfc's biggest ever Premier League defeat. Awful for the club's greatest. Rodgers surely follows.
I really, really hope BR is sent packing. I'll admit, I thought he was the new "it" but apparently I was completely wrong.
@AnfieldHQ96: Liverpool have qualified for 3rd qualifying round of Europa League. (July 30, Aug 6). Will go to group stage if Arsenal win the FA Cup. #lfc
Honest question, are there any positives to being in Europa? Trying for some small victories at this point..fuck.
are you kidding me? It's still a major European trophy. Plus you now qualify for the champions league.
I assumed as much and knew that. Was just wondering if there was anything beyond the obvious. Most people in here and other threads seem to dread it.
@AnfieldHQ96: Club sources have told us that Liverpool have no intention of sacking Brendan Rodgers this summer. #lfc (SkySports) @AnfieldHQ96: FSG will have a robust and thorough review in June, but sacking Brendan Rodgers is not on the agenda. #lfc (SkySports)
and more importantly why would you think you're too good for it if you can't make the champions league?
It's amusing to see a proud English club like Liverpool and a wanker club like Spurs, feel like they can only get a CL spot if they play the bare minimum games in a campaign. There was one year Spurs lost in the first round of the Carling and FA cup and than acted like the table didn't lie when they got a CL spot over a club that slogged through multiple fronts.
So according to the journalists, Rodgers isn't getting fired, Liverpool will not be bringing in a DoF, there are no planned changes to the transfer committee, Ings and Milner should be the first two players in, and Benteke is our main striker target
Sucks. I know that is the info being leaked at this moment but I remember a ton of journalists confirming that Kenny was safe in the weeks and days leading up to his firing.
I just can't take another season of Rodgers playing guys out of position/setting these guys up to lose.
I just don't see any compelling reason to keep Rodgers around. When you have a guy like Klopp on the market, you have to open up the checkbook. Klopp ticks every box for what FSG want to do with LFC. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
The Anfield Wrap's podcast they did yesterday touches on this. They talk about FSG quite a bit too. It's a good listen, but one that will make you frustrated as all hell.
John Henry seems like a smart guy but I have no idea what FSG are doing. Since they've taken over, the club has absolutely no direction or identity. Its crazy to me that they did such a good job with the Red Sox and are doing such an ineffective job at LFC.
Viktor Fagerström@ViktorFagerLFC 4m4 minutes ago #LFC are preparing a bid for Benteke and are hopeful that an offer of more than £20m will convince Aston Villa to sell. (Tony Barrett) #LFC Anfield HQ@AnfieldHQ96 2m2 minutes ago Benteke is Liverpool's number one target this summer. #lfc (Chris Bascombe)
In no world is Benteke better than Balotelli. Truth is neither are that great and certainly don't fit in with the other players we have.
What's wrong with Benteke? He's scored a decent amount of goals for being on some dismal Villa teams. It's not like Alan Hutton sends in great cross after great cross. Who else is out there?
Well a few things. One, he's had one good season. The rest he's just been ok. Second he's injury prone. Third all villa does is launch long balls and crosses into the box. He doesn't fit at all into what I think we are trying to do. Finally people bitch about immobile strikers in balotelli and lambert...do they watch Benteke. He's easily as slow as both of them, probably slower than Balotelli.
Aubameyang, Icardi, Vietto, lacazette, higuain, Depay (too late for him now of course) dzeko. There are tons of good players out there.
Higuain isn't going to stay at Napoli and Italian teams are broke. It's a realistic target albeit not a deal that likely gets done
Guys, guys, guys. FSG has been playing chess while everyone is playing checkers. We haven't approached Klopp or anyone because we were just waiting on Ancelotti to be free. No big deal.
Joseph Musker @Musker_LFC 1h1 hour ago Klopp may not take a break as previously reported if Liverpool come in for him. Language, rebuilding process and fans appeal to him. (BILD). Open your fucking eyes FSG
