looks like it should cool off this week up here in Fayetteville. And by cool off I mean it will still be in the 80s all week
Gf just talked to VP of her company over the Tulsa region and she is guarenteed her job she has now at their Bentonville office. Just talked to a buddy and he said as long as I don't shit myself I will get the job I'm interviewing for tomorrow. So that's like a 50/50 chance of moving back.
Man I had that birthday party Friday night and then hung out with the a lot of the out of town people that came in for it on Saturday.
No worries. Outside of Saturday night I didn't really have time to do anything, and I just ended up having a few drinks at the hotel bar and then crashing.
Damn Conway get your shit together 16yo sucker punches 12yo while wearing knuckle dusters. A Faulkner County teen is being charged as an adult in a battery case after prosecutors became aware of a YouTube video showing him striking another boy.Kane Millsaps, 16, pleaded not guilty June 3 to first-degree battery, a felony, and possessing an instrument of crime, a misdemeanor. Police say Millsaps hit a 12-year-old boy while wearing brass knuckles.Millsaps is seen in the 23-second video flipping off the camera while wearing a set of brass knuckles on his left hand before punching the 12-year-old boy in the face. The attack occurred May 31 at a walking trail in Conway, according to a probable cause affidavit.Millsaps hit the victim for “running his mouth saying he was an MMA [Mixed Martial Arts] Fighter and he could beat him up,” the affidavit reads. The victim told authorities he did not know Millsaps. Officers learned of the incident when a witness’s family member brought the video to the Conway Police Department on June 1. When officers spoke with the victim, they noted his right eye was bruised, there was a cut on his neck and he had broken teeth. The victim said he lost consciousness after being hit and “when he woke up he thought he had gravel in his mouth but it was pieces of his teeth,” the affidavit stated.A witness who recorded the incident on Millsaps’s phone said Millsaps told her the victim had provoked him, a claim she disputed. The witness told investigators that the victim “did not even see Millsaps coming and did not know he was going to be hit,” the affidavit stated.A girl seen pushing Millsaps off the victim at the end of the video said the victim “had a hole in his cheek which may need stitches,” the affidavit states.Millsaps was arrested June 2 at the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Services division after meeting with his probation officer. He told police “he found the brass knuckles at his apartment complex and after the incident he threw them in the dumpster,” the affidavit stated.Defense Attorney Frank Shaw represents Millsaps, who is set to appear in court next Aug. Also, Michigan paid us $2,000,000 so they don't have to play us Spoiler they got ND back on their to do list
Used to be if you got to Toad Suck early enough, you could catch the vendors selling switchblades and knucks before the cops made em stop. You'd always see a few punks out wearing em around later. Pretty much guys like Kane here.
Garland was previously a Memphis commit that reopened his recruitment after Josh Pastner left for Ga Tech. That makes us 3 for 3 with the top recruits in Arkansas, a very underrated basketball state. He had other offers from Bama, Baylor, UConn, Florida, Cal, Miss State, LSU, Oregon, Memphis, aTm, Pitt, Ga Tech, Creighton, and UALR Garland takes our recruiting class to #5 overall in the country and #1 in the SEC as of right now. Obviously not going to stay there, but will still be a top 20 class when its all said and done, which is pretty awesome coming off the season we just had. We are likely going to get a couple more commits in August, and could get the 2018 class started off with a bang. There's also a strong possibility of PG Justice Hill, who I think could be a 5 star, of reclassifying to the 2018 class. Add him to strong possibilities Ethan Henderson (LR Parkview) and Reggie Perry (currently in GA but from Little Rock) and we've got a potential top 10 class. The Scotty Thurman hire is paying off in a huge way already.

So, unless I get a better offer here, it looks like we will be moving back to Arkansas. Gf transferred to her jobs office in Bentonville and starts the end of this month. I won't start till October so I'm just gonna stay here in the meantime until after ACL and then move back. Been looking in Bentonville by the square, a nice apartment complex in Rogers by the AMP and some houses in Fayetteville by Dickson.
I lived in those condos by the Coca Cola building for two years prior to getting married. They're nice, and gated community You talking about the Ranch at Pinnacle Point where you looked? Those are fairly solid as well.
Yeah that's the one. Nice and not bad price either. Hell, we pay $2k a month for our 2br/2bath here so anything around $1k is awesome. Told her my only stipulation is I want to be close to stuff to do. Her hill jack ass was looking at shit way the fuck out in Farmington and Centerton.
You absolutely do not want to have to commute to Bentonville, especially from Centerton. Traffic is awful. 100k+ people going to the same place at the same time on Bentonville streets make for a gigantic clusterfuck. Farmington wouldn't be terrible for you if you work at JB Hunt, but once you keep heading north on I-49 any time between 6:30-8:00am between Lowell and Bentonville it's awful. The Ranch is a good spot. In a quiet neighborhood, good price, and right near some great restaurants and right down the road from the AMP and a bunch of bars. I lived at Stone Manor. I'd check those out too if you can.
Really? We are coming from Houston and having to get on 610 which can take an hour to go half a mile. Is it just wrecks? She'd be the one with the actual commute. Heard Bentonville by the square is nice now but can't really find anything worth a damn. Found some nice houses off Dickson. I think she's leaning towards the ranch place though.
The Bentonville square is awesome now. Houston traffic is bad I'm sure. But Bentonville doesn't have the infrastructure to handle 100k people coming in and out of the city every day. Any wreck shuts down the interstate and it happens every day. They are just now widening I49 to 3 lanes which will help, but it's not completed yet.
Yeah there's not a lot of apartments or anything in that area. Mostly homes that are 100+ years old. I think the only apartments in that area are shitty little townhouses on 8th street or some townhouses off "A" street about two miles from the square. Think there are some newer townhouses on Central about a mile east of the square too. Other than that, all old homes.
I mean, they're really good. OL is young overall, but starting to figure it out. Defense is always ahead of the offense in camp though. Frank is going to be a NFL center, Skipper has been solid. I think Colton Jackson will be a good LT soon enough. Hjalte has a chance to be a mauler, still learning the position.
Yea I know def always has adv over O in spring. Figured Technique would be not finessed yet for the OLine like it should be. Seems like Frank knows all positions and that's why he's goingto be the center as he can bark out all the orders and it makes sense with who is on his left and right right now
According to berts press conferences. If anyone listens to anything he says preseason or during the spring they are setting themselves up for disappointment
August 2013: "we're going to Shock some people" 3-9 August, 2104: "we're hungry. we're ready. buckle up." 21-45 week one loss August, 2015: "we kicked the door down last year. This year we march in." To freaking ledo
The last past three years I have been fading more away from the preseason stuff. This year i haven't paid any attention. Bertwing is my source. That's it until the season.
I go when my nephew gets his college player of the year awards. They usually have some pretty good speakers in there. Bud Foster has been a ton
Remember last year he said froldt couldn't be stopped, he was dominating th online......... Played on special teams and then deemed to slow for d line. You can't believe anything that worthless p.o.s. Says
4* SF/PF Reggie Perry commits to Arkansas. Monster get for coach Anderson. Kid should be a 5 star or close to it when rankings are updated
Desi Sills and Ethan Henderson should also be committing soon. Some great in-state basketball talent the next 5 years. The 2020 class is absurd as well.
My son's high school had a little kickoff fundraiser and our keynote speaker was...wait for it...Houston Nutt. It was all me and Y84 could do not to throw our BBQ sandwiches at him.
