I still cannot believe that call went the Hawks way. I was convinced that there was not enough evidence for the refs to gift that shit to the Wiz. Holy fuck yes!
Most think we matchup better with the cavs than with the wiz/nets. We aren't going to win shit tho if we don't shoot better
You all have a big fan @GottliebShow: Congrats to the #Hawks for surviving the #Wizards, avoiding the #Bulls, only to be beaten by a depleted #Cavs
ESPN has already started marching out the Cavs in the finals storyline. There will be MUCH shitting on all these fuckers if the Hawks take this series.
Knee Tendinitis should be fine early on in the series...longer it goes tho better chance it flares up
hey we need any luck we can get this is like 95, Cleveland managed to play against the one City with worse luck than itself
Cheapest tickets are $129 and that's at the top. Any of you guys know someone who is selling tickets?
http://www.si.com/nba/video/2015/05/18/eastern-conference-finals-atlanta-hawks-cleveland-cavaliers Chris Mannix has us winning in 7. At least 1 media member giving us a shot.
I think Horford and Milsap will have to have a big series for the Hawks to win. Also, someone is going to have to pick up Demarre's scoring. I don't think he'll be as effective on the offensive side of the ball w all the energy he's going to put into gaurding Lebron.
very much agree, esp on Demarre. Thabo injury is going to hurt even more. Bazemore will not be able to do shit against Lebron and we will end up having to double him whenever Demarre is out. LBJ will have a huge series. I said earlier in the year in the NBA thread that I felt our bigs would give us a chance to beat Cleveland. Bulls were a worse matchup b/c of their superior rebounding (ATL's biggest weakness). But Cavs dont pose as much of a problem there and Horford/Millsap will force them to guard along the perimeter - it seems like Millsaps shoulder and Al's thumb have improved. I could see Cleveland eventually rolling with a smaller lineup with Lebron at the 4. One other advantage for us - esp if Kyrie is seriously limited - will be our PGs. I dont think Delly will be at that Game 6 level the whole series. Irving is already a bad defender. Teague does have a gimpy ankle but should still be able to blow by whoever guards him. Schroder is getting important minutes and would not shock me to see more of those 2 playing next to each other. Shelvin Mack also had some season success against Cleveland.
SportsCenter @SportsCenter "I'm going to go." Kyrie Irving says his leg injuries won't sideline him for Game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals.
think Nike is getting the next contract for sure Adidas is pretty much pulling out of basketball iirc
Green should be more yellow and lettering looks like they're trying too hard, but I agree they're an upgrade. Current jerseys are very late 90s/early aughts.
Eh, Kyrie has actually become a solid to good defender this year, believe it or not. However, in his current state, I think Shroder's speed could really test his knee and push him to the limit.
They're the most recognizable stars and likely the three best individual players left -- bit of a reach.
Sounds perfect. Midtown bowl and a couple yoga studios are right on Chesire Bridge around the corner from Onyx. I'll even offer to drive them.
Intersting that they are bringing back the Lime/Neon Green. Will standout I guess. Wonder if the NBA will let the Hawks have the Asphalt Black Floor that they want.
I think it is supposed to be a Yellow, not a Green. Its nothing official. Just some fan design I think.
My point is that there is no question in my mind that Atlanta is still an afterthought for the vast majority of NBA fans and the media.
I gotcha man, I'm just saying that it's not really surprising. You've got: Golden State -- star power with Curry(MVP) and the most exciting offense in the NBA Houston -- star power with Harden and even still that fuckface Howard Atlanta -- played waaaaay better than anyone expected with a cast of very good players, but none of which really stick out to the casual, ignorant NBA fan Cleveland -- arguably one of the five best players in the history of the NBA Not saying it's right for people to think that way, but it's not really surprising.
If Korver doesn't find his offensive game I don't like our chances, do expect it to go 6 games either way
