I remember when I first heard about this I thought it would be fun to go to Cuba. Apparently you have to sign up for a limited visa based on one of like 8 approved reasons to be visiting. Each one stresses that you are not there for recreation and will have no time for recreation between planned activities. Seems like a fun place.
Thats been in place for forever. And its been easy to go before this latest executive action, easier now. My buddy set up a study abroad, and adults could tag along. Been really easy to find a group to go through. Now, instead of only groups, there is individual-to-individual contact allowed. And its 12 reasons, which will now be easier to pass. The Obama administration has basically signaled they are not actively enforcing the remaining embargo restrictions. And I doubt they are intensively monitoring all your actions once you are there; at least they havent to the people that I know on TMB and in real life that have gone there for tourist purposes. We are going asap. Spoiler 1. Family visits 2. Official business of the U.S. government, foreign governments, and certain intergovernmental organizations 3. Journalistic activity 4. Professional research and professional meetings 5. Educational activities 6. Religious activities 7. Public performances, clinics, workshops, athletic and other competitions, and exhibitions 8. Support for the Cuban people 9. Humanitarian projects 10. Activities of private foundations or research or educational institutes 11. Exportation, importation, or transmission of information or information materials 12. Certain export transactions that may be considered for authorization under existing regulations and guidelines. https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/12/17/fact-sheet-charting-new-course-cuba http://thepointsguy.com/2016/07/10-essential-things-to-know-before-your-first-cuba-trip/
Going to visit my brother this weekend, he just bought a house in Duluth. Probably going to be BBQing and Footballing the entire time, but is there anything to do out there?
Nope enjoy golf? There's a nice and cheap par 3 on satellite Blvd. Really nice sushi spot called Fumi.
As Fran said, it's easy. You don't have to pass any tests. Just say ur doing X and ur good. My issue, is the place apparently just sucks and isn't cheap. All the food is poor folk beans and rice. The hotels are awful. And there really isn't much cool going on. So....it's real expensive and it's basically a underdeveloped country. Nah, no thanks. Part of me is cool, untouched by American influences and huge construction....
Eh.... I'd totally fuck with that. It's like going to a poor ass beach. Meh. Machu Pichu is an awesome cultural and scenic
Kickoff of the college football season has me missing the SEC rivalries in Atlanta. Plus people actually giving a shit about college football. Hard to find out west.

Ladybird ppl taking over h harper station spot http://atlanta.eater.com/2016/9/7/12833388/new-restaurant-h-harper-station-location
You guys hooked up me on a great spot to move in Atlanta, I'm back looking for some more insight. I moved into a 2/2 condo across from PCM December 2014. 20ish months later and I'm under contract for a place in Denver and I'm debating selling vs holding and renting (not a rent controlled property). A smaller but very similar condo sold for 47% more than my purchase price a couple weeks ago. The two options I'm considering are 1) hire a property management company and renting my unit out, or 2) selling within the next 1-2 months and hoping for roughly 45% profit, probably closer to 40% after seller fees are paid. This would be my first time renting or selling, whichever route I choose. What are your guys' thoughts? Which would you choose? Also, feel free to mention possibilities I haven't listed above. Thanks bros.
Sightlines — Former Stone Brewmaster Mitch Steele Announces Atlanta Brewpub September 12, 2016 THE GIST Stone Brewing Co.’s former brewmaster Mitch Steele plans to open a yet-to-be-named brewpub in Atlanta. Late last week, Steele and his team signed the lease on a space right in the heart of the city, just off the much-buzzed-aboutBeltLine. They're tentatively projected to open in the summer of 2017. “I’ve enjoyed a wonderful career in craft brewing and I am excited for this next chapter in Atlanta,” Steele said in a statement. “I had an amazing time at Stone and I am very thankful for my experiences there. Now, I am looking forward to the opportunity to become part of the growing craft beer movement in Atlanta and the Southeast.” WHY IT MATTERS After spending 10 years helping to grow Stone into one of the country's biggest craft breweries, and 14 years at Anheuser-Busch before that, Steele has enough experience to choose his own adventure at this point. After all, this is the man who literally wrote the book on IPA. He could brew anywhere in the world, but he chose Georgia. The Peach State has some of the most restrictive and antiquated beer laws in the United States. While brewpubs have gotten some legislative and regulatory relief in recent years (they can finally package their wares for retail sales; as of March, they're selling growlers), they're still not afforded many of the benefits of brewpubs in most states. While it's unlikely Steele chose Georgia looking for a fight, adding his beer and personality to the state's quickly growing beer scene will certainly help Peach State beer advocates continue to push for progressive legislation. Another thing to consider is Steele's partners in the endeavor. No chef has been named for the project yet, but two men involved with the brewpub have spent considerable time working in the beer industry. CEO Carey Falcone andChief Sales & Marketing Officer Bob Powers each have more than 25 years' worth of beer experience at companies like Anheuser-Busch InBev and Constellation Brands. And while those perspectives will likely come in handy with this new project, they're the polar opposite of what Steele's old boss is up to these days. According to LinkedIn, both Falcone and Powers are currently employed by American Beerworks, a company whose only web presence so far is their profile pages. And this description would seem to indicate that we'll be hearing a lot more from the company: "With an unwavering focus on core values, our philosophy is to employ the industry's best beer artisans, provide them with the industries [sic] best brewing equipment and resources enabling them to push the boundaries of the brewing art in order to locally craft creative and unique beers that our customers love to drink." Steele certainly qualifies as one of "the industry's best beer artisans." While he and his team are being tight-lipped about this new project so far, a press release says the brewpub will include "a rooftop bar and a beer garden, with brewery tours and brewing classes for the home brewer." Meanwhile, Steele's been pilot brewing an IPA with Refuge Brewing in Temecula, CA. It will be interesting to see what else he brings with him to Atlanta. —Austin L. Ray
The new brewpub is expected to be operational in 2017. Located at 820 Ralph McGill Avenue, in Atlanta.
Saw some girl I knew that lives in Atlanta had her bachelorette party at The Ivy That's fucking embarrassing

Residents will have access to amenities including: local art installations, a yoga studio, a juice bar and fitness center, a "destination sky bar, a large demo kitchen capable of hosting regular mixology and cooking classes, and an interactive, open-air social lounge,
Read about that a while ago. Obnoxiously buckhead and millennial, but looks great and brings people in.
That quarter-mile radius will be absurdly obnoxious once that project and the mixed-use behemoth next to the St. Regis are complete
Another year that I am missing Music Midtown. On the other hand I am really considering trying to get a ticket to the Killers at Terminal West on Saturday.
