Ate a double smokeshack at shake shack and it was a solid burger. not the best, but it was very solid.
Once saw a group of three asian dudes walking around in there. They had a cart and all they had in it was like a 12 pack of Bud Light Lime. Had to be their first time drinking beer...I hope.
RIP me ever getting a pub sub from there again. As if the service wasn't already slow enough, it's been 7 people deep or so every time I've gone in the past couple weeks (which, to be fair, was like twice.)
Well the fact that they have that fat black dude behind the counter rolling around his oxygen tank or having a backpack on with his oxygen in it doesn't help. The guy moves so slow.
I'm about right in the middle, but awkward asian publix is on my way home from work. I buy almost everything at TJs though and what I can't get from there I usually get from Gay Kroger. Publix is exclusively subs and whatever else I happen to need while I'm getting a sub.
I've gone strong on Trader Joe's since moving to Denver. But there is going to be a Sprouts that is opening like 1/2 mile away from me next week. The prices just crush Publix, but I do miss those fucking subs.
I always forget about Gay Publix at Ansley my gf does the Trade Joes runs for their wine so I never have to make the trek across 10th
Protip.....Helen, GA is a worthless town and is essentially a bastardized German version of Gatlinburg, TN. Place was pretty fucking shitty. If you think tubing up there might be fun b/c it is in the mountains, nope nope nope. Was fucking terrible. Avg Depth was probably 4 inches. Constantly getting stuck, shit was absurdly crowed. Shoot the Hooch from Northside to Cobb Pkwy 1000000x better. Oh and they don't allow any coolers or alcohol. WTF?
always hear it is a neat little german town. Has the oktoberfest. I can't imagine Oktoberfest being anything other than a racist redneck klan rally where people are drinking beers on long tables.
Whats the highrise called on the corner of 7th and Peachtree? I can't remember the name. I ended up there at their pool last night where Sharknado was playing.
All the confederate flag t-shirt shops kind of amazed me. I don't think even Gatlinburg had that shit. Pretty embarrassing.
yikes WDE - consult the thread before your next trip to north GA. some amazing places up there, none of them are in Helen
Southern Company buying AGL resources in ATL biz news. I interviewed for a job at AGL a couple months ago. Pretty glad I didn't get it, considering the likelihood that it will still exist in a couple months is pretty low.
kinda depends on what you're looking for - hiking/camping or antiquing/b&b-ing (yeah I do that shit sometimes wanna fight about it?)
That seems to be the sentiment of people who move here from places like Florida or Ohio. that and bikers like it is enough to want to not go there.
with fiveguys in the building, spire...i think the one across the street that never can keep a business open is viewpoint or something like that. aqua development is the one that had a construction worker fall to his death while building it, and is the one where the lady showed a black guy her place and was murdered in it. skyhouse had a murder in it also.
I had fun in Helen for Oktoberfest when I went last year. But I was fully aware of the town's shittiness and didn't expect much, instead choosing to appreciate the shittiness. We spent the majority of the time in the cabin anyway.
I don't even know what b&bing is to know if I should want to fight about it. But I was thinking mostly hiking or just a nice nature site. I take my dog to hike in N GA.
Any state park is great, but since you are with pup I assume you want to be offleash - would stick to National Forest trails. This site is pretty good http://theblueridgehighlander.com/hiking_trails/north_georgia/index.php Chattooga River Trail is a favorite of mine due to proximity of trout fishing. Rabun Bald is a good hike, as is Panther Creek and Angel Falls
Oh the irony. 9th-grade baseball rejected for Cobb schools 7:18 a.m. Aug. 25 via Cobbnewsnetwork MARIETTA - Cobb school board members decided against adding ninth-grade baseball to the list of available sports for Cobb students this year, citing challenges with facilities and Title IX stipulations.During a daylong working retreat Monday, Dr. Grant Rivera, the district's chief leadership and learning officer, said an eight-member committee was tasked in June with looking into the possibility of adding ninth-grade baseball to the district.
somewhere off 120, some asshole dad went home and beat his kid for not being good enough to make JV then had him run laps because of this. but those are very good reasons to not have a separate baseball team, and having to have a separate 9th grade softball team.
Dr. Rivera was our assistant principal when I was in 9th grade. Always a bright star that one. Male cheerleader in college.
If you're kid sucks at baseball and can't make a JV team, no real reason for the county to waste money on him going playing 9th grade ball.

"Unlimited access to food stations." Unlimited access to order from food stations, or unlimited access to food covered by your $25 fee? Also, unrelated, I am now a bartender motherfuckers! At The Whelan right next to this festival thing.
so how likely is it that GE leaves connecticut? http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/...al-would-make-pitch-for-general-electric.html
I went last year, the only thing that kinda sucked was eating hot/spicy food in the heat. Food was definitely good tho.
Would be a shocker and amazing. Tishman has already met with GE about NYC and Atlanta. They're old school NYC owners and landlords.
Yea I interviewed with their risk mgmt dept out of undergrad. They own(ed) rockefeller plaza. Id love to get them here. Right wingers have been saying those new CT taxes would push Immelt to move GE, and knowing Immelt I bought it. Would love love love that move.
I think GE is going to push CT to the brink of repealing the new laws, but when push comes to shove, they gone. If anyone will do it, its Immelt.
