UberEATS is coming to Atlanta. UberEATS, the food-delivery service from ride-share champion Uber, will begin service in Atlanta this Thursday. Offering lunch deliveries from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, UberEATS is partnering with several local restaurants to offer curated menus, and the company promises delivery in 10 minutes or less. Although, to stick to that claim the delivery radius will be limited. "Atlanta eaters in midtown and downtown no longer have to settle for a quick meal or boring lunch at work just because they don't have the time to make it to one of their favorite restaurants on their break," Peter Hsu, general manager for UberEATS in Atlanta, said in a prepared statement. Among the service's early partners: Thursday Alon's Yeah! Burger Friday Highland Bakery Smoke Ring Aviva by Kameel Next week Bocado Sun In My Belly Busy Bee Cafe Neighborhood Eats Bell Street Burritos And through September 18, King of Pops is dishing out free popsicles with every order. UberEATS' delivery fee is normally $3, but it will be waived through the 18th. The on-demand service is available through Uber's mobile app. Uber is one of several modern tech companies that's attempting to claim a stake in the food-delivery business. While its ride-share service is incredibly popular, not everyone is convinced UberEATS will be as successful.
And how the fuck is the food cooked in under 10 minutes. I'm skeptical of a burger that is in my hands within 10 minutes if I'm sitting in the fucking restaurant.
Im guessing the menu item(s) and drivers are prearranged. And the delivery areas too. Theyve already got services like this downtown, just not a brand name company like Uber.

Southfork is another company that does lunch deliveries like that. My gf does it sometimes, just sign up in the morning to get it i think. Still dont think those deals can touch a Postmates/Zifty/Favor type place if you're craving delivered food.
Feel like between delivery fee, upcharge, and tip, I usually end up paying $10-15 more dollars than what I would if I went to just go pick it up. Only use those places when I'm at work late and can expense it.
H&F Burger @HFBurger We're opening in @poncecitymarket's #pcmfoodhall at 5PM tonight alongside @hopschicken! Come say hello! # #HFBurger
Had it at Turner Field, was underwhelmed. Great burger no doubt; however, it didn't live up to the enourmous hype.
ive never had it actually at H&F so not sure if its different. That said, The Ted version may not live up to the original hype...but its the best ballpark burger ive probably had.
Not even close, you could taste the quality of the meat. I just didn't have any angels descend from on high or garden nomes start speaking to me in a swedish dialect.
i went to that one when it first opened and its not up to the standards of the real thing; interested to see if he does better with PCM. Hopkins Chicken should have the Nashville style so I will check that out.
I like where you head is at, appreciated. The dawg I'm dating will be taking me out, actually looking forward to it. Going to my first non-AU game in Athens in a few weeks. It's next Saturday so all I really want is a W in Baton Rouge.
If its just the 2 of you, then maybe do something different. I only like Gunshow with the big groups b/c of the price. Idk I will think about it. Glad you upgraded from that Techie to a Jawja girl.
oh i guess no one ever hyped the stadium version to me. so when you said enormous hype i guess i never thought this version was included.
was just about to post the same about Gunshow. It was amazing with just the 2 of us, but you should really get 4 people together to be able to eat everything.
She wore her Nick Chubb jersey to a tailgate full of AU folks Saturday and even barked a little once I got her drunk. She's good people.
Well I'm officially moving to Atlanta. Have plans of going down end of week next week for work and then look at places over the weekend. Is the music festival going to fuck with my plans? Not sure how big/busy it gets with it.
it will shut down car traffic for a major portion of the weekend in this area its like a 120,000 patrons so depends on if youre looking in/around midtown
Looking mostly Buckhead, but was probably going to look at Midtown also. Guess that won't be happening. Will it affect Buckhead a lot and is it safe to assume hotels will be more expensive?
Buckhead is always a cluster, so I would expect it to be impacted by Music Midtown. Could be a lot of people taking Marta from Buckhead to Midtown and walking to the concert, therefore, I would expect the hotels in Buckhead to also be a bit more expensive than usual.
