in a surprisingly Non-GT move, they named it after a led zeppelin album, completely blowing away the field that picked pink floyd's "the pipers at the gates of dawn" and close second "ummagumma".
is it really worth all the drive-by-posting from Death Valley Underground to make these non-funny posts?
I want to watch the Kid Rock fans like I'm in a zoo. I'm truly curious, from an academic perspective, about these creatures
The Smoked Wings w/ or w/o the sauce. The Fox Brothers Burger. The Tomminator. The Fox-a-Roni. Frito Pie.
Would love to if I had time but I'm headed to sweetwater 420 fest and then the disco biscuits late night at terminal west. Pray for my survival, fam
friends threw us an engagement party there and they basically blocked off the whole back room with the flag for the party - was annoying when it got crowded w/ folks using the bathroom. they also reserve the front dining room area.
they just added that outside part recently - I'm sure music is in the long term plan. we need more places like it on the beltline so it doesn't stay so (over)crowded
The general lack of daydrinking patios in Atlanta is shocking. It just makes zero sense, and Ladybird is showing there's an enormous market for it.
not nearly enough of them. universal joint in oakhurst has been my go-to as of late, it's usually wide open
We've got a crew of 18 and will be at the picnic tables outside. A few are going early to get tables and add some decorations as it was $1k minimum to reserve a picnic table.
Girl in my office trashed Ladybird today saying everyone she knows hates it/pretentious/poor service/expensive/etc. I went for the first time last Thursday night and enjoyed it. I was surprised to hear what she said as it had rec'd good feedback here.
Girl in your office has likely only been on perfect weather Saturdays when there are a thousand people there. If you're expecting incredible service in that situation, you're definitely not gonna get it....just have realistic expectations. Otherwise, it's an awesome spot.
Recommendations for a decent place to dance? The new girlfriend wants to go. Bear in mind we are late 40's, so Johnnys Hideaway is an option but it's always crowded and smoky on weekends.
MJQ was my thought until the third sentence. Pivot to Blind Willies, good jazz and usually a little space to shake it.
Waking up at 7:30 to play my first pickup soccer in ATL. Pray for me, I don't have health insurance right now.
Update, went well, my training with the Hispanics has given me a good foundation, even with the nine month layoff. I'll just have to be better about staying on my feet, I learned a dirtier form of soccer than what these gringos in Sandy Springs are going to allow.
But you have to have a membership or know somebody. I've only been later in the night, but don't really remember people dancing.
Nah plenty of people dance and it's usually just a $10 cover without a membership. They always have DJs that usually play clubs and the area by the patio is where people dance. The reason I said it is because it's not smoky and the crowd ranges from mid 20s-older.
Cypress Hill and Pepper last night at Sweetwater then Questlove at Vynil tonight. We walked home from the show no worries at all. Atlanta, with all its flaws, is a great city and we're fortunate to live here
