Dunno if Jason will say anything. Patterson posted this yesterday in the DBT group thing on FB: "I'm definitely happy about this one. I'm proud of the work we did on it. Things were strained between Jason and I by the time we finished and that's always been a bummer. But we're great now and I've always been proud of this album."

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/20/arts/music/dawes-passwords-taylor-goldsmith.html Passwords' sound compared to Steely Dan and Dire Straits, and Jackson Browne and Bruce Springsteen are big fans of Dawes' growth... This quote from Browne sums up perfectly my love of Dawes, Isbell, and DBT: “If somebody says ‘Taylor sounds like you,’ they’re missing the point,” Mr. Browne said in a phone interview. “He’s just returning to an approach to music where lyrics are more prominent, which is something that went away from popular music. With Taylor’s songs, you’re rewarded for paying attention to the words in a spectacular way.”
Good interview with Prine... https://www.npr.org/sections/world-cafe/2018/06/01/616122495/john-prine-on-world-cafe He got a tape of Paradise to play for his dad before his debut album came out...his dad went into a dark room to listen to it so he could pretend it was playing on a jukebox and it brought him to tears. He died shortly thereafter before the album came out.
Wheels of Soul this Saturday at the Fox DBT, Marcus King, and Tedeschi Trucks. DBT will open then head to Chastain for their own show.

Was in the center of the 2nd row for the TRB concert in Salt Lake recently. I spent a lot of time just watching him pick. It was phenomenal.
Been watching their stuff for a long time. I don't usually fuck with reaction channels but this one is really good.
Yeah, reaction vids are generally lame as shit but I like these guys’ insights. I felt the exact same way when I first heard Elephant and If We Were Vampires.
Their one for Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey is just the best thing. They know dick about Stapleton or country going in and he blows the doors off with his voice. One of them was like "how has someone black not told me about Chris Stapleton?"
Watching it now. Big fan of Tennessee Whiskey but it does sound familiar because it’s Etta James I’d Rather Go Blind
Going to Isbell concert tomorrow night. Will be my second time seeing him. Did you guys like the last album? I had trouble getting into it
