I'm sure you've heard this a million times, but try switching to whiskey waters/vodka waters. I started doing it a few years ago just for calorie reasons and now I can't drink anything else. If someone gives me a free whiskey/coke I will have to throw it away because it tastes that bad.
Recently stepping up my water game. When I was a student, I always had a nalgene with me. Now that I'm in the office, I've moved to a tervis tumbler. Ice/Water at all times. Harder to but trying to. I still drink a diet coke every now and then.
Love the tervis. So awesome. I have the 24 oz one. Prob fill it up three or four times throughout the work day. I've cut out pop almost entirely, outside of mixed drinks. Just hard every now and then not to have something different with a meal. But I've gotten much better compared to where I used to be.
In fifty years, when our whole generation begins to die of diabetes, we will look at POP the same way we look at cigarettes now I love a coke from time to time, but I just shake my head at The guy that relies on half a twelve pack Mountain Dew to get himself through a work day
I was that guy sort of, mainly due to caffeine. so much wrong with soft drinks. dropping caffeine has been awesome though.
I'm not sure I'll ever stop drinking glass bottle, sugar cane, Mexican Coca-Cola. I only have one from time to time anyway. It's just outstanding in the right spots.
Funny you should say that, Beam and water is my drink of choice at bars. I can't tell you the last time I ordered a liquor drink at the bar that wasn't a Beam and water. However, I need to warn you. Once you start drinking it with water, it only leads to... Which is what I always get at casinos or anywhere else where I just need to get drunk as quick as possible or it may not be a while until my next drink.
yeah i gotta switch to bourbon and water i do bourbon and ginger ale now and that's pretty bad actually
Bourbon and ginger is my go-to. I haven't cut alcohol out of my diet yet, but I might soon in preparation for my first half-marathon coming up in seven weeks.
Completed my first half marathon this morning. Ran 2:35, which isn't great, but I'm happy for my first time.
Been doing 8 the last few weeks. Gunna step it up to ten next week. Hopefully do a half by myself by the end of the summer. My running buddy from back in Cali did her first half today so I gotta step my game up.
I ran a 10k in like 43:28 and I want to hang myself I started out with a 6:05 mile which just killed my entire race Screw running.
When I sit down it pretty much feels like a knife is being shoved behind my kneecap on the outer part of my leg. Is this my IT? I'm supposed to run 10 miles tomorrow. Will my leg fall off?
yeah that sucks if its that painful - my knee was very similar to yours when I first started running more and I had to quit for a few months :/
Yeah, I couldn't even sit down this morning without shooting pain. You straight up stopped running to heal it? I was getting in shape for this 10 miler and probably progressed too quickly/wasn't used to the pounding. Six weeks ago I hasn't run over 2 miles in like 6 years, and two weeks ago I was doing 7 miles. I'll have to do a race this summer...I really wanted to do one.
I stopped running but I did kickboxing 4 times a week then every sunday I would jump rope for like 45 mins :/ I doubt that was a good idea
Two styles of hoka one ones on steep and cheap right now under fade day essentials. One 70 the other 90.
Anyone wear Brooks running shoes? Looking at some online and wondering how they fit. I wear an 11 in Nike, but usually go down to an 10.5 in some other brands.
last three have been Glycerin's. 10.5 is prob the right size too and each update is consistent. All 3 are 12s and fit great
bums me out all the time when i see a cool colorway only to realize they are women's. i know you can just size up, but wouldn't the shape and cushioning of the shoe be different?
I have some Nike Wild Trail that I run in on wet days, but my normal shoes (Puma) are about to be put out to pasture.
Anybody here use this watch or a similar Garmin? http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Forerunner-Large-Black-Blue/dp/B00JQF6HHU/ref=cm_wl_huc_item
Nice. I figured you were going to finish way ahead of me or I would have offered to buy you a beer after I finished laughing at your gay shoes.
Got my Brooks in yesterday thanks for the info on sizing. If I picked them up in a store I bet I would have went with size 11, but after wearing them for a short walk size 10.5 is the right size since the toe box is so wide.
