Taken with potato, tablet cam sucks I usually like the steel mags, it seems like everyone is giving you magpul with a purchase though
If you get them from PSA or Brownells they come with a good follower on the spring so they dont jam up, which is the main reason I guess people dont like metal mags. The main reason I like them more is that the lip on top of the mag is metal and is harder to bend or break than the plastic on the Hexmags or the PMags. On deployment we had an assortment of mags and its not an issue unless you shoot the same mag for thousands of rounds, but the plastic will fail. I should mention the aluminum mags are to be avoided. Those ones bend and break very easily.
You apparently catch a lot of shit around this board, but this may be your best post. It should be noted that if you're not preparing/expecting a firefight every day, a pmag will be fine for your needs. I have coupled metal mags in my rifle at work. The ones in my BOB are magpul because they're lighter.
I wouldn't buy them unless they were on sale, which you can get every now and then for 9. Colt has some too for around 20. I catch shit from liberals and people thinking I am farva
Forgot to mention I am not gun guy. I just look at it like buying tools, Im paying money for shit that will last forever. I plan on passing my guns down to my sons.
Gentlemen I don't know if the sale is nationwide - so check before you go - but I just came home from Dicks Sporting Goods with 2 boxes of master race Winchester white box .45 acp 100 count for $37.98 each. I think it normally runs around $49.99 a box. Probably going back later in the week for more.
So the wife tells me today she wants some kinda $370 iPhone watch for Christmas. Me being the master negotiator that I am, parlayed that into a shotgun as my Christmas gift. Probably going to go for a Benelli, but going to look around. Anyone have any suggestions in the $400-450 range? Will primarily use for home defense but my brother in law has been trying to get me into game hunting (deer mostly) for years and I think I may finally take him up on it.
At that price point for a Benelli you can only get the Nova or SuperNova. I'd go for Supernova for the ability to shoot 3 1/2" shells at turkeys and geese.
It's the dimples :) But seriously, it's quite possibly the best 7.62 carbine Knight's has put on the market--and I'm not just saying that because I own one.
I need to give everything a good cleaning now that I have a nice place to put them. The place I had them was way too humid. What supplies do y'all recommend for cleaning/oiling/maintenance (what is the best)?
I used Hoppes #9 the other day to clean/oil. Get a motion activated LED light for your safe. They're relatively cheap but effective.
I mix the little bottle of Hoppes9 with the little squeeze bottle of hoppes lubricant. I split it back into the original containers for storage. You're out maybe 5 dollars and it'll last you a year.
is this really a question? bc then I have more skin surface exposed to feel the gun with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrolysis
I may be in the minority here but I despise open carry other than certain situations (out in the wild, on your own property, things of that nature). I want to punch douche bags at Home Depot with an AR on their back right in the fucking throat. Then beat them with their rifle.
