Yeah, for some reason not a lot of Dead fans or Little Feat fans know about that. I think you can definitely hear his influence in some of the songs on the album, particularly in If I Had the World to Give, Stagger Lee, and I Need a Miracle. Lowell was so damn versatile. If you go back and listen to the Little Feat deep cuts, his solo stuff, and his work with the Mothers of Invention, you'll hear him play southern rock, pure country, jazz fusion, funk, every kind of blues imaginable in multiple tunings, boogie, psychedelic rock, rockabilly, cajun jazz, rhythm and blues, etc., and, no matter what the style, all of his songs sounded uniquely Lowell George. Ridiculous guitar player and composer too. He does not get enough credit. If he could have stayed sober and lived a long life, he would be considered by all as one of the GOATs. I wish someone would do a documentary or even a movie on him. Have it star Jack Black. The stories you hear about him are ridiculous and would make for an entertaining screen play. If you go back and listen to his interviews and some of his banter on the stage during live shows, you'll see that the guy was pretty fucking funny too.
@deadandcompany: 2 sold out MSGs. Thank you! If you’re trying to get tickets via broker, you may want to hold off. We’re working on it. Stay tuned…

I think there are more coming. Still hearing they are playing Detroit from my friend, unfortunately not at a place where I have a hookup.
@JohnMayer: New tour dates announced... This is getting exciting. (And I'm told it's not over yet...) deadandcompany's photo https://t.co/FsuXJtpr0w
just got AMEX pre-sale offer for Dead & Co in Atlanta. Uppers 55, lowers - 75, floor - 99. Show on a Tuesday, not sure if its worth it.
No Lesh or Trey has me wondering if Iron Bowl tickets would be a better investment. Upside to Dead and Co is there's not a 50% I'll be furious at the end of it.
Ticketmaster is such a fraud. Their site won't let me do the find seats by clicking on the section and thanks to fees there are already cheaper seats on stubhub.
Studio version, but this is the version that made me love this song. I bought Mars Hotel with one of my first paychecks at a new job in college. No one I knew had it, so I bought it.
Listening to 7-19-89 alpine valley today...man there is some seriously transcendent shit in this one. Sugaree, Althea, Deal, west la, among others...all fucking crush.
The SBD w/ all the reviews. I'd link, but listening on the app & can't figure out a way to grab a link.
Listening via the first link - not bad. I like Mayer's playing/tone thus far. @thedeadblog: I'm just going to leave these here: https://t.co/CHqsslPkxY Possibly: https://t.co/Tge5pTbKYj Possibly: https://t.co/JBRivSKEDq Opener: Spoiler Playing in the band opener
Mayer has a big time 70's Clapton sound going on this Cold Rain & Snow - and it really fucking works. Digging this a lot. Might have to look at going to Columbus in a few weeks... Vocals aren't really working for me as much, but whatever.
