It was pretty straight forward. The cashew milk was already bottled from this local place (http://wonderpress.co/juice-menu/). Ingredients as follows: Cashews, filtered water, date, cinnamon, vanilla bean, pink mineral salt. Could very likely make this in a food processor and then straining it to remove any bits of cashews that didn't get pulverized. Took about 3 tablespoons of chia seeds and put them in a mason jar. Then filled up the mason jar about 3/4 of the way with the cashew milk. Sealed it, shook it up, then let it sit overnight in the fridge to thicken up. Shook the jar a couple other times before going to bed. Woke up to a nice, thick yogurt/pudding consistency. It was good for two breakfasts. Ate with banana, blueberries, and granola added. Speaking of granola, I live by Simply Elizabeth brand. Haven't purchased any other kind for almost a year now. Nothing else compares in terms of store bought granola. It is on the pricier side, but the taste and simplicity of the ingredients makes it worth it.
So I heard from my surgeon yesterday, and insurance temporarily denied my surgery. They denied it becAuse they want me to go to My primary for 2 more visits, and then they can approve. Looks like first part of the year I'll get my skin surgery. I weighed again last week and was down to 216. I'm just 21lbs from my goal. I'm hoping by mid August I'll be there. The last few lbs are harder to get off, but in still averaging about 2 lbs off a week. Thanks for all the likes and idea's on this thread as I make a point to Che k it out everyday. outside of the family trip 4th of july week - been on the health train for 2.5 months strong. easily in the best shape of my life. I'd like to think I can carry it all the way through football season to thanksgiving/christmas but that's gonna be real real tough
I'm down to 212 now, and I haven't changed my diet, but it's getting harder to burn. I want to hit 195 before I start maintaining, but I think sometime in September I Might start the maintain diet. I tell you I kinda live in fear of eating a little more because losing is all j have done for over 19 Months. In still gonna bust my ass everyday in the gym, but you fear when you get to the end. As of now I'm down 274 lbs since January 15. Hope all is well guys and I'll have some new before and after a later on. As usual I appreciate the support you have given me.

Last week I read that Rucking is great if you're a dog walker. Get a good backpack that can strap up tight. Put 10-25lbs in there and just walk your dog like normal. Honestly don't remember the number but wanna say it was something like you burn ~325cal rucking vs ~125cal walking a dog for 30min. That shit adds up if all else stays the same. Just too lazy to go to academy and get a 25lb plate/dumbbell
I may check into it. I walk her an hour/day, but it's more for her health and sanity than my own exercise. If anything, it puts me in a much better mood on a daily basis.

what's light and what would great shape be? definitely don't wanna do anything that causes lower back pain and could see that being an issue
Lower half is the bigger concern IMO. Anything from blisters on your feet right on up the leg, ankle, knee or hip. If you had/have a lower body issue you'll feel it quickly. So as long as you have a decent enough vest or ruck where the weight is evenly distributed, I don't think your back is going to be too much of an issue. In terms of weight, just start with 15-20 lbs. Go a short distance and incrementally build up. No different than lifting or running. Your body will let you know.

I've been tracking with MFP, logging my 5x5 lifts as well as everything I'm eating. Two things: I'm low on carbs, high on proteins and fats. Not sure if I should abide by their 50/30/20 splits for C/F/P though. I don't get any calories for my exercise :l Don't tease me with those extra calories, gimme.
Their splits are bullshit if you really want to get serious. As long as you are eating high quality fats you are good.
If I remember correctly MFP protein recommendations are fucking stupid. Really basic would be get 1 gram per pound of body weight protein, about 20% fat, and then fill the rest in with carbs.
How do you guys approach bulking season, or do you not change your eating habits in the fall and winter, that is with the exception of binge eating on some football weekends? Do you prefer to stick with the same meals but up your calorie intake by just eating larger servings, or do you just try to boost your protein intake? I would ask this in the weightlifting thread, but at 37 I'm not in the class they are in and my metabolism won't allow me to take in the amount of calories they can take in.

1700-2000 cals when cutting 3000 when bulking. still try to eat the same type meals abut add in a few calorie dense snacks like anything peanut butter related. and actually eat a decent breakfast. add a serving of carbs with dinner instead of just lean meat and veggies.
