    aka Chivas vs. Juve.

was a real treat to get to see one of my all-time favs in Luca Toni start and play 2/3rds of the game. you can definitely tell he isn't the same Toni that was able to bring hand to ear so many times for Bayern, but he still has something to give when he has high work-rate kind of guys around him. he made the errant pass that a defender blundered which allowed for the lone goal.

Krasic, Motta, and Quagliarella stuck out for Juve. Chivas got off to a great start but was simply overpowered by the Europeans for large portions of the game. they had to play the game on a slightly smaller field...that is always going to mean less goals for professionals, so I think they need some kind of rule to create more goals as it did get slow at times and I can't imagine ESPN wants to televise a bunch of games played at the midfield line like this one.

all in all a great game to attend because of the Juve stars and a solid atmosphere created by 15k something Chivas fans. maybe TNE will have something to add about the game as well...
