Hey, fuck you frend. But yes, you're right...the main drag is a little sketch. That said, there's a huge wave of crime in central/east Bham right now. Tons of stuff. Also, did anyone on NextDoor see the transcript of City Council, etc., yesterday? Holy shit, they paid out like $130k to a shell company, someone found out.
yeah crestline park wes tegg is gettin hammered apparently glad i can go back to worrying if the neighbor will actually come get their trash can the day after the garbage man came or if they'll move their car off the road since its been there for more than 3 hours #OTMPROBS
I used to live right near CP back right when the first shit happened in spring of 12. Im OTM now son.
No. There have been a string of burglaries over the past months but nothing I'd consider that serious. Police presence is at an all-time high now because of it though.
Yup, been big issues in Crestwood North/South as well as Forest Park/Highland Park. People are getting PISSED, which is leading to them getting involved in the city council stuff...which is then...well, I hope it means 2017 is an all-new city government.
Prediction: we don't get shit. All the fucking rain is leaving with the cold front coming in faster than anticipated. It'll be a few flurries and that's it.
snow this early means that the wrap around stuff we get later today, it will be already colder. its 35.2 here and i surmise we get below freezing shortly after 530-6. 2+ INCHES BITCHES I FEEL IT
Spann is saying after 8 but with the incoming wind I'd be wary of overpasses as soon as the sun sets. Swim Cantore I'm currently wearing my rally cap for the cluster outside of Tupelo and what's in Memphis to hold together along with the trough scooping up more moisture as the System leaves the area around 8. Spann posted a model suggesting that between 7 and 8 tonight we could get another round
Picked up some Snake Handler today and some Singing River Handy's Gold. Looks like it's a brewery out of Florence, wasn't familiar with it but love blonde ales. Holy shot the Singing River blonde is incredible
The Alabama Hammer is known for his equally goofy and memorable television commercials, but the Auburn-based attorney's latest spot – announcing a write-in candidacy for president – is no joke. The Hammer – real name Mike Slocumb – told AL.com on Monday that he decided to enter the race as a write-in candidate because he's frustrated with the political system. A registered Republican and fiscal conservative who said he is "generally" independent, Slocumb said millions of Americans share his sentiment. "This election year is so unusual. People are so fed up with Republicans, Democrats, it doesn't matter," he said. "They're tired of your run of the mill politicians that say one thing, then go to D.C., and it's like they become infatuated with the lifestyle that they see once in D.C. And once they get there they have to do what the special interests tell them to do. Democrats are bankrupting the country [and] the Republicans don't have the gonads to do anything about it. That's why they need somebody like me." He said his most recent commercial, which first aired last week, is just the latest in a series of ads that will highlight his campaign platform. Slocumb said he won't be hitting the streets or spending campaign funds to reach voters. "I don't need anything else. Within two days of that commercial being on television, everybody in the state of Alabama knew I was running for president," Slocumb said from his eponymous law firm's Auburn office – one of four Mike Slocumb Law Firm locations across the country. "I have so many commercials coming out. You will know exactly where the Alabama Hammer stands within a month. Believe me – my commercials are very clear in my positions." The personal injury attorney's disdain for the insurance industry – and his fondness for Republican front-runner Donald Trump – are apparent in the initial spot. "I'm going to build a wall around the insurance companies and I'm going to make them pay for that wall," Slocumb says in the commercial. Inspiration for the line came from Trump's campaign promise to build a wall on America's southern border and make Mexico pay for the construction. (He added to AL.com that in future commercials, he will call for the deportation of insurance companies.) In the interview, Slocumb, a 39-year-old Opelika resident and father of four, said he admires Trump for his leadership skills and business acumen. The lawyer said he shares those qualities with the real estate mogul. He said he hopes Trump will succeed in getting the GOP nomination in part because future commercials will be more relevant. "It's no secret – Trump has built a tremendous organization. I've built a tremendous org – that's not an accident," he said. "You have to surround yourself with great people and that's what any leader that's accomplishing anything in their life understands that – and Trump understands that." A registered Republican and self-described social and fiscal conservative who is "generally" an independent, Slocumb said he's one of the millions of Americans yearning for a change in how elected officials conduct business in Washington, and that's why he launched his write-in campaign for president. -- how will shunnarah respond?
