Yeah, when I went in Nashville I got "Hot" and I couldn't have handled anything more. It was fucking hot.
I had Eugene's Hot Chicken at Cahaba, I ordered the Hot (which was fucking delicious) and I can't imagine getting the stupid. I think I downed 3 pints of beer just finishing the plate of hot.
I've eaten there probably five times. It's so weird to sit in there eat. I prefer to get take out, but regardless, it's fucking delicious.
I like hot foods but at a certain point it's impossible to even enjoy what you're eating. I do, however, love watching stubborn people who refuse to admit that attempt to down some 911 XTREME LAVA BEAR MACE flavored wings though. Anyway... Recommendations for Diplomat Deli, please. Only eaten there once and I must have ordered super poorly because what I had looked and tasted almost exactly like a sandwich I'd make myself at home with store bought deli meats and bread.
Reuben is pretty good. It's a good weekday lunch spot but you basically hit it on the head. Nothing too special about the sandwiches and a little overrated.
I got the stupid outside of Saturn one night. I was pretty fucked up, so it wasn't horrible until the next day/
1. Saw's 2. Miss Myra's don't care after that. Moe's is always solid. Surprisingly, it seems like there should be more local BBQ in Bham.
TopGolf scouting Bham locations. http://www.bizjournals.com/birmingh...inment-concept-scouting-sites-in.html?ana=twt
Any recs for new restaurants other than fried chicken places? Also, a friend recommended Taste of Thailand in Hoover. Anyone been?
Loled hard at the lava bear mace. So true. I like some flavor but sweating while eating just isn't fun
I always thought this would be a great location for a top golf (from an investors perspective)....turn that ugly triangle house into a pro shop/ bar.... It's a destination venue so get the cheaper land, people will come regardless....plus catch the 280/mountain brook crowd.... From a consumer prospective, they should of put it in Lakeview where they're building those new apartments or across from Highland Park golf course on Clairmont where they're building those new apartments.... I don't know enough about their history as a company to predict where they might put it....I do know that business model is ripe for a knock off... "Hackers N' Scratchers" TM DriveByBBQ Which one of you rain makers with a subscription is going to post the article in its entirety?
I work in Hoover and eat there a lot for lunch. It's good. As is the Silver Coin which is right next door if you like Indian food.
have you driven by there on a weekend? there is some old dude who just chills. everytime i go to sam's hes there. guess its the owner but wtf man
TopGolf would absolutely kill in Bham. I would love for it to be anywhere other than Hoover/down 280 but even down there it would be amazing.
They'd be best off opening two locations simultaneously. One out 280 and one near downtown. Still think they'd both succeed from day 1.
Expect more of the same next few days in this summer pattern. That thunder game was ridic OTM last few hrs
Driving home from picking up my daughter around 3:30 and on the way back saw a dude standing bare ass on the side of 459N (Acton) jerking off. He was like 5' from the woodline, just standing there with absolutely nothing on and no car in sight. Pretty normal looking white guy, probably in his late 20s, slightly above average cock.
Never lost power in Vestavia, had to reset my AC though as my wife and I are eating dinner and it slowly rose to 79 degrees inside.
Never lost power in Crestline Park. I did get woken up by some thunder that shook our house. Lightning had to be pretty close because I'm basically a corpse when I sleep.
It's skating east pretty quick. Will be interesting to see how the west side of this line develops over the next 15 minutes
You need to join the generator master race. It still kind of sucks because I have to turn the TV back on and it is dark for about 10 seconds.
how much is a full house, 2000 sq ft, generator? i need to get the 300$ one that i can plug in a surge protector and at least plug my fridges and a few appliances in
I am not sure but think it is several thousand dollars. It was here when we moved in. At the time I didn't think much of it but within a month moving in the power went out for a couple of days. I am going to seriously consider putting it in any future house we are going to live in long term. A lot of the houses on our street have it because of how easily the power goes out around here. It also seems like we are down the list to get it turned back on.
crestline/wood, irondale/MB is fucking terrible. shit goes out when mother nature sneezes. basically anywhere OTM
I love the beautiful old trees but they are a bitch when the weather hits. If we ever get a good ice storm we are so fucked.
