So if you haven't been to Oddbird yet, you guys need to get over there. Did an impromptu treat yo self Wednesday by going there after work. Once the word gets out they should kill it. It's been mentioned in here before, but this is West Egg's night time "pop up" restaurant. Think they only operate Wed - Sat from 5:30 - 9 pm. Chicken, Biscuits, Waffles, local beer. What more do you need? Left: Chicken Biscuit #2 - spicy honey and bread & butter pickles with three bean salad side Right: PB&J Chicken Sandwich - pimento cheese, bacon, tomato jam with pickled veggies Phenomenal. Can't wait to go back.
Lady working there claimed the hot chicken is not for the faint of heart and it's actually pretty damn hot. Think they have hot and very hot as the two options. God speed and prepare your butthole. Report back with your findings.
I saw Home Depot was looking for an in-house counsel position that was available. I've actually done/do some work for them.
MARTA is hiring a Director of Real Estate, going to apply tonight. I can't fathom a better candidate than myself.
The Southern Fried at Folk Art is great. Love that spot for brunch. Everything I've had thats on these lists has been phenomenal. Will definitely be saving.

I realize you most of you guys hate Thrillist... Well, and everything else except the Braves, niche food joints, and craft beers, but here is an article some of you less vocal posters may find interesting. http://www.thrillist.com/drink/atlanta/best-patios-in-atlanta/3991603
Be both, we're just messing with you so its a sign we care about your rehabilitation from an over the hill, clinging to his youth, buckhead douchebag to fine, upstanding member of society.
The ones of these that I have been to are pretty legit. Ladybird is great, Community Smith is one of my favorite happy hour spots. I don't think Grain or Hi-Five are great, but can't admit that I've ever been there. Just not really what I'm looking for in a patio. Cypress St. should definitely be on the list, as should both Six Feet Unders, although I guess they're not strictly "patios"
LOL glad I just went there last night after Oddbird. RIP guys, it was nice knowing ya... JENI’S SPLENDID ICE CREAMS RECALLS ALL PRODUCTS BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE HEALTH RISKS April 23, 2015 – Columbus, Ohio – Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has initiated a voluntary recall of all ice creams, frozen yogurts, sorbets, and ice cream sandwiches for all flavors and containers because of the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The company is ceasing all sales and closing all scoop shops until all products are ensured to be 100% safe. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals infected by Listeria may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, infected pregnant women can suffer miscarriages or stillbirths. The ice creams, frozen yogurts, sorbets, and ice cream sandwiches being recalled were distributed in the United States to retail outlets, including food service accounts and grocery markets, as well as online at jenis.com. This recall includes all products bearing the “Jeni’s” brand name. The contamination was discovered in a sample randomly collected by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is not aware of any illness reports to date related to the recalled products. However, out of an abundance of caution, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is taking this voluntary precautionary measure in order to ensure complete consumer safety. “Our top priority is guaranteeing the safety of all consumers by taking every possible precaution,” says John Lowe, CEO of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. “We have decided to recall everything currently on retailer shelves, and we are closing our scoop shops until we are 100% confident every item we sell is safe. We have called in experts to help us find the root cause. We will be working with our suppliers to determine if the bacteria was introduced by one of the ingredients we use. We will not reopen the kitchen until we can ensure the safety of our customers.” Customers who have purchased any of the products are urged to dispose of them or return them to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund, and consult with their physician regarding any medical questions. Customers may also contact Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at 614-360-3905 between the hours of 9 am and 10 pm (E.D.T.) on April 23 and 24, from 9 am to 5 pm (E.D.T.) on April 25 and 26, and from 9 am to 5 pm (E.D.T.) on Mondays through Fridays thereafter. Jeni’s can also be contacted by email at [email protected], and at jenis.com/recall.
Douchebuckets presented it poorly. It's the 10 best new patio spots. And High Five is decent because of the atmosphere of that corner
I was picking up a tux in Buckhead earlier today and thought about how much it sucks and this thread. But I also thought to myself, "why do we try to sell shitty people on our awesome non-Buckhead way of life?" To me, it's better that all the nonsensical plebs stay self-segregated in Buckhead.
Buckhead isn't that bad. It just looks bad in retrospect once you move somewhere better itp. Living there immediately post grad is kinda like being a sophomore in college with a borderline substance abuse problem. It can be a fun phase, but you should move on at some point.
Oh yeah, it was fantastic but then I turned 26. I've got too many bad stories from East Andrews, Five Paces, Pool Hall, and Churchills.
I've only had Fred's but it was fucking delicious. I would definitely recommend. I have heard that the Luminary underwhelmed and Superica impressed. Not sure about much else there.
Most of the places are food stands, not restaurants, but lines can be long. You'll likely have a wait at Superica. But there are bars. Just have a snack ahead of time and drink your way through your wait. Honestly I'd recommend just going and walking around and see what looks good to you. Except that I probably wouldn't go to Jeni's right now.
Went to Illegal Food last night, food was great but it's a bit overpriced and I wasn't crazy about the vibe inside.
http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/baseball/braves-shuttle-changing-marta-stations-2015-season/nk3BD/ Braves Shuttle moving one stop south. I like it. Think this should have been done long away with a focus on improving the neighborhood between the station and Turner Field. There is a huge development with art galleries, stores, etc. that is on the market adjacent to the station right now.
KR Steak Bar was great and Rathbun is a cool dude for hanging at our table for a few mins to wish my gf happy birthday.
Fried Chicken - named after his upcoming spot in Decatur, Revival. Individual breasts fried in a unique crispy batter. Mexican Breakfast - Poblano Pepper stuffed with brisket topped with like a cheese sauce but it might have had some egg mixed in and some mole sauce. Sorry thats a really redneck explanation but the details are fuzzy at this point. also had a Shoney's Strawberry Pie but we brought Henri's cake for my bday and they brought that out with the banana pudding
